ive fitted a few and am not aware of any external differences, but maybe i was just lucky. as far as i know there is only one seal recon kit available??. as to how easy a recon job is have a look in the manual--------its the largest single subject in there :shock: 30 odd pages if i remember right, ...

Steering rack.

Are all Bongo steering racks the same? Mine is leaking. I can get a s/h rack, but does it matter if it's from a 2wd as mine is a 4wd? On Lushprojects it lists 6 different racks. :shock: Cheers. P.S. Is it an easy-ish job to replace the seals? as I might refurb my old one in the future if so. :-k

Another possible cause is the rubber U bend hose from the air duct onto the turbo, if it comes loose you may have those symptoms.

I went through two sets of cheapies off ebay, possible lasting a year if that. Finally spent £90 on a pair of blue print ones from a motor factors and never had any problems since, whichi think was over three years ago.

Had no problems with my MIJ stainless, must be over 4 years old now.....one thing though......now, she does not look as shiny as she did.
