Re: 12v kettle usage???
Freewheelers inverter runs virtually cold for what they use it for, I'm sure if you were to use it for prolonged periods under heavy load it'd get hot, but that's not what's being talked about here, the original post was about making a quick cuppa. I think I'll go with the flask option, and wait fo...

Re: 12v kettle usage???
We're getting a gas hob as part of the conversion that goes in next month. Just thought the 12v kettle would be an easy alternative in the mean time. The things you learn!francophile1947 wrote:Yep Buy a £10 gas stove insteadhembramacho wrote:So basically a load of rubbish then!

12v kettle usage???
Quick question. I've just put in a leisure battery and relay split charger so that all my electrics in the bongo run from this. I had this great idea that we could stop off in a layby for a cuppa now and again and bought a 12 volt kettle. A mate of mine who used to be a long distance lorry driver to...

Re: Homemade bedboards and platform removal
Arrived home today from 2 nights in Shell Island (weather not great but caught loads of crabs!). The bed boards worked a treat! Both our girls loved them, especially as they could peep over to see mam and dad at any time. First night they slept right through ( a bonus that it's still really dark in ...

Re: Homemade bedboards and platform removal
I spent most of yesterday sorting out my new roof boards as we're off to Shell Island today as soon as my wife gets home from work. They seem to have worked fine and it mostly went to plan. With my original measurement there doesn't seem to be a problem with them catching the AFT fabric - watch this...

Re: Homemade bedboards and platform removal
Just arrived back from our first overnighter in our new bongo and around 5 minutes after lights out realised that we needed to rethink our 5 and 2 year olds sleeping arrangements - they weren't happy up top, especially when it was dark (different to rehearsals when it was light with the sunroof open...

Re: Electric sliding door problem
That was a quick response - thanks a lot guys.
Just been outside for another look. NOW I see!!!!!! After it clicks shut, the electric motor kicks in and pulls the door in further - I can see it now I'm looking for it!
Brilliant

Electric sliding door problem
Picked up my very first Bongo this week - chuffed to bits!!! Still finding my way round it and getting used to it's little quirky bits but loving every minute. :D First problem - the electric sliding door. I've worked out that I'm supposed to close it to about half way and then the electric closing ...
