Re: Overheating but okay on pressure and sniff test?

To be honest be it head or gasket the head has to come off, so if the head's good it can go back on, if not there’s little extra labour to replace it.

Re Exeter garages, since Allan's retirement Doone has recommended a couple near Plymouth. A search of her posts will find them.

Edit: For a complete engine Bongo Spares are a good bet, they will also likely have a belt kit, and not stupid far from you.

There’s a pair of switches down by your left knee if the blinds are motorised.

Sometimes a smear of washing up liquid, or rubber lube, will help. :)

Re: Bongo garage Weston super Mare

Another thought, I've a feeling the owner lives in Backwell, possibly he would meet you there take Bongy on to the the garage, then you could get the X1 back?

Worth asking.

Re: updating gross vehicle weight on v5

Apologies for slow reply, mine shows 'Revenue Weight 2300 KG Gross'. There’s certainly a lot of confusion on the internet, but it does look as though yours is showing the unladen weight as gross, which is obviously wrong. I can only suggest contacting the DVLA.
