Low coolant alarm driving me nuts.

My Bongo came fitted with a low coolant alarm which I believe to be one of Haydn's. Since fitting a Willington kit the LCA has been going off when the engine and coolant have cooled down, usually a few hours after the van has been used. A bit annoying in the middle of the night when sleeping in the ...

Re: Starter battery spec?

Cheers, that's helpful.

I searched for "starter battery", which seemed to throw up loads of threads about leisure batteries

Starter battery spec?

I have a diesel Bongo with 2 starter batteries. I'll be fitting a Willinton split charge kit and leisure battery in the next week or so. I tried starting the van with just the driver's side battery. It started but didn't turn over as fast as with both SBs. I'm going to try with just the passenger si...

Re: Leisure battery

Thanks for that info Dave. Mine is a winter spec Bongo and I'm probably going to get the Willinton kit with tray when funds allow. Hopefully the van will start with just the one starter battery without having to get a new one.

Re: Tail light, side light and dash circuit failed

Thanks for all your replies and help. :D Unfortunately I am a numpty  Had a cup of coffee and a re-look at the fusebox fact sheet. I didn't check the fuses under the bonnet initially. I have now and No. 8 (rear lights) had blown. Swapped it for the foglight fuse and side lights and dash back l...

Re: Tail light, side light and dash circuit failed

No, I haven't got a meter to test it with, and if I did I wouldn't really know what to do with it anyway.

I had the dash in bits on Friday to swap the speedo face and I had to disconnect the foglight switches, but all the lights were working after I put everything back together again.

Re: Tail light, side light and dash circuit failed

Tried swapping headlight and sidelight relays. Headlights still work but sidelights don't. Unless mine aren't in the same order as the ones pictures above. I'm a bit stuck now.
Any more ideas?

Re: Tail light, side light and dash circuit failed

Found them, but there's only three on mine. How do I get the rubber sheaths off?
And how are the relays attached to the metal brackets?

The second one. But if the relay is the problem I may be in touch. Thanks for the info. :D

Re: Tail light, side light and dash circuit failed

I've got the same problem - no dash back light, no side lights or fog lights . Where can I find the relays pictured above?

Re: Freda very poorly - gutted!

That's bad news.

Unfortunately with a private sale I don't think there's anything you can do, even if the seller knew the car had problems before the sale.

Re: Speedo needle counter weights..........

I was going to glue them in but I wasn't sure they were in the right place! The dash is all back together now, so hopefully I wont ever need to it all to bits again. I put the needle back on with the ignition on so fingers crossed it's reading correctly, not quite sure how to check as I don't have a...
