Re: 2.5 TD 4WD first time overheating

the temp gauge as kirsty says does not move unless the cooling is struggling,if its not modified. the gauge going to the H point is roughly where the fans come on,and are the last chance to cool.you say that the temp then dropped to 12 oclock, this is what it should do. the strange bit is you say you...

Re: oh dear coolant issues.

no the oil cooler is IN THE BOTTOM 2 INCH OF THE RAD if this has poped its contents of copper gauze like material would be released into the coolant system.also you could have coolant in your gbox if its an auto.check the g/box on the dipstick and its condition.

Re: oh dear coolant issues.

the oil cooler and its contents are made from copper, the internals of the oil cooler are very soft and bright copper, the body is 1mm sidewall hard brittle copper.someone may have put a foreign body in.

steve i will sort her/it out.

Re: 'Turbo' How to Replace

turbo/exhaust manifold off.what a b*tch of a job.there is always one that wont budge or is gonna snap,i feel lucky there was two.
new mazda manifold gasket £11.00 plus vat and studs and some nuts ordered.
manifold needs/is getting skimmed as no1 was 1mm out and no8 was 0,5mm up and about to leak.
