Re: V6 engine and box removal tips

There is a pdf in the factsheets in the members area. You'll need to drop it out under the van - which will be you main problem. Push the dealer because they are really responsible - you've only driven 100k. Good luck

Agreed - I’d not read the pdf. Hopefully this Bongo can be fixed/rejected. There are plenty of good ones out there.

Re: Bongo v6 rattle and clatter

Any vehicle sold by a dealer should be fit for purpose. See here https://theusedcarguy.co.uk/car-scams/s ... think-not/

And this link https://www.thecarexpert.co.uk/rejecting-a-car/

I’d reject the vehicle, ask for full refund.

Any chance you can modify the near side arch to give a bit more room?

Re: Cardiff - Starting & coolant loss problems

£68 very resourceful. I’ve a double garage but the Bongo won’t go under the door. So, I need to wait for warmer weather to work on it. Finally managed to see it reappear from under the snow.

Re: Cardiff - Starting & coolant loss problems

Great progress. Really good job being done there - credit to you. Also looks like you are having to work in a confined space in the workshop. That’s never easy. I have one of those mechanics stools on wheels and find it easier on the knees to sit and weld. Keep up the good work and keep posting phot...

We all start as novices. Just keep asking and reading and you’ll get to know your Bongo.

Re: Reverse light bulb

Very similar to what I fitted as a reversing light on my 4x4. I used solder joint with heat shrink. The cables are automotive type of a similar guage to the existing reversing light, Being LED these don't draw a lot of current. Hope this helps.

Don’t you just love it when a part has eight different types of fasteners holding it on.

Ok 7 if you don’t count the window part but you get my drift.

Re: Bongo 4WD R17 tyres size

Our Bongo is a 2WD on Michelin summers, but on my Suzuki 4x4 I use Yokohama W-drive which perform well on and off road. Being SUV tyres the load rating is quite high. Worth a look.

More like these http://www.imperialcar.co.uk/in_stock/2 ... silver_31/. Not implying or suggesting that the original posters vehicle was supplied or converted by Imperial- others use same pop top.

Re: Broken Roof

The Drivelodge covers the whole width of the van. The type in the photo is narrower than the van plus opens high at rear.
