Re: Bongo Fury conversion advice

Hello agent n I have a unconverted bongo which I have owned for over a year now and have used camping frequently. We initially thought about converting, toying with a tail unit then a side conversion, but the more we have used it we are of the opinion the extra space you have unconverted is better s...

Re: Be aware "tenacious tape"

Hello g8dhe.
I guess I don't truly know it's tenacious tape but the point of my message was to really warn other owners that if like me, they were considering removing any tape they may have on the mesh, they may want to think again as in my case it made the tear far worse.

Re: 240v Hook-up location

Hello.
I have seen a bongo with the set up you talk about. I have bought the parts to do myself but yet to get around too. I bought the 240v male connector with a cap which covers the terminals when not in use.

Be aware "tenacious tape"

Hello all Just thought I would post a word of caution when dealing with tenatious tape. My AFT fly net had two tears on either side upon purchase, which had been repaired using tenatious tape. Over time the tape has gone yellow in colour and is, in my opinion a distraction to the nice look of my van...

Re: Breakdown cover refused ... recommendations?

I use RAC personal cover which covers all my vehicles. Checked upon renewal regarding 2001 Bongo and they said "yes that is fine and covered"

Re: Red bulb for fog light

Hello I have wired in a red LED (purchased on ebay) directly into my rear red reflector, think it required a 10mm hole drilled in the centre of the reflector. That way I was able to keep both reversing lights. Recently passed it's MOT, inspector was not sure but checked it on line and was happy to p...

Re: AFT fabric cleaning

Hello I recently cleaned mine with a solution of washing powder a small amount of bleach and some white vinagar. And the use of a none scouring sponge. Throughly rinse it afterwards as mentioned. Note it did take several hours to fully dry afterwards but does look better. As for the zips I lubricate...

Re: Rear Fog light help

Well done.
Might be worth investing in a volts meter or screwdriver type 12V power tester, as this will make future electrical diagnosis much easier.

Re: Rear Fog light help

Yes a live wire going direct to earth will blow the fuse. The earth wire from the switch should go direct to an earth, same is true of the earth wire in the fog light.
Follow both of these wires to establish this.

Re: Rear Fog light help

Hello. In most cases a blowing fuse is due to a short in the circuit somewhere, in that the live is shorting out with the earth. If you trace the 3 wires from the switch you should find one going to earth one coming from a live source which from the sounds of it is the head lamp wire and the other, ...

Re: Middle seat rotating mechanism

Hello ade33 Thanks for your reply. I was hoping I could just buy the mechanism and fit it too my current seat. Maybe someone had one lying around after a conversion that they would sell. My van it's unconverted but this would make a good addition. I don't mind sleeping on the original seats when lai...

Middle seat rotating mechanism

Hello all
I would like to have the option to rotate my middle seats upon arrival at the campsite. Is anyone in possession of the rotating mechanism they would like to sell.
Thanks in advance
