Yes, i'm feeling rather fortunate.
Apparently, the van should never have passed the MOT. I think something dodgy was going on and they panicked.

Re: Bristol newbie
I'm a fellow Bristol based Bongo newbie. Do ADS Automotives do that sort of thing?

Buying one from Japan
Due to the sorry state of the Bongo I bought 2 weeks ago I am getting a refund. I feel I have learnt some valuable lessons from this debacle. The van had a whole list of issues - ADS Automotives in Bristol were amazing and gave me some great advice on how to get my money back from the dodgy garage t...

Re: Coolant tank empty
Yes, thankfully they are going to refund me.
The search is back on.
Thinking of getting one fresh from Japan. Quite a bit more expensive but i'm thinking its probably worth it.

Re: Coolant tank empty
ADS seemed concerned and baffled that the tank is completely empty.
AA man thought it was strange that it has had a new water pump fitted, stating that it looks like its probably had problems recently.
Currently being towed to the garage, I'm at home feeling rather glum.
Wish me luck.

Re: Plug sockets
Thank you.
This does sound like its likely to be the problem. I did think it seemed strange to place it under the van.

Re: Plug sockets
The first time I plugged in an iphone charger and it tripped the bollard.
Then with the site manager present, I plugged in a camping lamp.
Then someone else hooked up to it and it worked fine. Seems to definitely be an issue with the van.

Plug sockets
Sorry posting lots of questions today.
My bongo is not a conversion, however it has two plug sockets at the rear of the van with an EHU underneath the van. Whist camping earlier this week I bought a cable for it. But, the van kept tripping the campsite bollard. Any ideas what might be wrong?
