Bongolow,
Sounds daft but try some cat litter rubbed in with an old pair of boots.Then follow with a good jetwashing.Repeat the cycle if stain has not all gone.
Worth a try!

Saffie, Is it a private sale or dealer? If You are buying it from a dealer use the cambelt as a bargaining tool ie try and get them to do it as part of the purchase deal. Never know could save you some hassle and extra outlay after the initial purchase.But if they will, make sure its in writing some...

Have You tried reaching round from the front passenger door and pulling the plunger pin up or down on the sliding door. Are you allowed to name location of dealer as I have had a similar problem this time with a sink water pump wich blew 2 fuses and resulted in a rewire.I am from up north like you! Admittedly it was fixed immediately but it is a worry.
