Re: French crit'air zones

Thank you for your reply. I've now been issued with a Crit'air 3 certificate. Here's a link to the official website . Plenty of scam sites out there that look very official. Crit'air 3 seems, among other things, to apply to petrol vehicles registered between 1/1/97 and 31/12/05. Not sure how French ...

Re: Securing rear cupboards

That sounds similar in dimensions to the sort of cabinets fitted in rear conversions. Mine are screwed to the rear side panels using furniture blocks - if they're only fastened at the bottom they could break free in an accident.

Couldn't agree more. Noticed that for the last week or so. Perhaps they're all wildcamping with no data signal!!

Re: Bongo not starting

It's also possible that if there was a 'bio' element in the diesel it has caused algae to form and clog up the system while the van's been left standing.

Re: Advice sought on my first Bongo

Probably another bit of advice for the OP would be to have a contingency fund of, say, 1-2k to cover any initial problems which reveal themselves. When I got mine last year I was aware of an issue with the temperature gauge before I bought it as the temperature would only start to rise when the van ...

The fridge is a Vitrifrigo C40L - it's a 40L top loader. Link here. Mine was fitted by Northstar when they fitted the conversion in my van; a quick Google identifies Penguinfrigo as the UK distributors.

Re: radio turning off during driving ??

I agree they are low and im probably going to get a bigger battery. However for some reason the bloody thing has started charging ?? Very strange. Im now looking at adding a 240v set up with a fridge but im a little unsure as to how i wire everything up so that the fridge will work on the 12v side ...

Re: AFT tent light corrosion

Digging around various Mazda EPC's, I find that a Mazda Demio roof light appears to use the same lens (51-311) although the housing is rather larger (part no. 51-310)
Here's the page I found:

Re: AFT tent light corrosion

Hi Phil,
Don't have a pop-top so can't visualise the light fitting in question, but as you say the corrosion's probably just the result of condensation. How about using coca-cola to attack the corrosion, assuming you are able to rinse all traces of it away afterwards?

Re: radio turning off during driving ??

Just spotted this thread - those are low readings off your LB. As a comparison the voltage at my LB is 13.3-13.4V with the engine running or on EHU. With the engine off, and not on EHU I normally see 12.3-12.7V after a couple of hours. That's while it's powering a compressor fridge, sometimes TV and...

Re: facelift bumper & bull bar fitting???

Had another look at the parts book, looks as if the inner side mounting brackets (51-9J8/ 51-9J9) in the aero kit MAY fasten to the lower corner reinforcing brackets (50-190A). If they do, then the spoiler picks up on existing fitting points throughout.

Re: Fitting a drive away awning ?

Hi Folks, I've bought a outdoor revolution oxygen movelite 3xl awning. Can anybody tell me what a need to fit it onto my bongo please. I've read some post but still not got a clue - figure 8- kandor strip, double edged beading strip etc. etc. Much appreciated Hate to tell you this, but the tunnel o...

Re: thickness of figure of 8 awning

WIth Outdoor Revoulution you usually need to buy the fitting kit which is shown in the pictures above. Without causing you more concern I am not 100% but are the XL awnings not for van's that are 2.4m high or more, the standard awning would fit the Bongo, I would check this out with Outdoor Revolut...

Re: Figure 8 awning mounts

I have a set of stop ends which as it suggests stops the awning moving in the Fig 8 gutter, work very well, very useful when it is windy. 7 squids and free post or £6.65 with code! https://www.olproshop.com/collections/campervan-awnings/products/6mm-awning-end-stops Or use a length of kador strip l...
