Re: Any way of confirming which bearings have gone on a 4wd
Is that the wheel bearings? Ive changed plenty on my landrover, however I don't need a press to take them out or put them back.
If the Bongo wheeling bearing don't need a press, do it yourself and change the lot.
Are Bongo wheel bearings pressed in??

Re: Rear End Shudder when pulling away
Will this mean that the whole gearbox may have to be changed, or just the VC lump on the end replaced with a new one.
Although under warranty , how much and how long do they last.
Thanks

Re: Rear End Shudder when pulling away
I have contacted the company and it's booked in for next week.
Could I have caused any long term damage to the VC, driven it for about 2000 miles. Where is the VC and how do I know if they've changed/repaired it.

Rear End Shudder when pulling away
I have had Freda for 3 months now, she is still under warranty from a reputable dealer. Freda is a 4x4 2.5 diesel Auto with no LSD. Recently under hard aceleration from standing (Straight line ) the back end shudders for a short while and disappears. I had to take Freda back to the garage last week ...
