Re: Webasto Heater

Hi Ok, I think I have found the problem. The unit is an Air Top 2000S, I opened the top where the wiring goes and found that the black plug connector has burnt. I guess that the unit electronics are probably damaged too. Is there anyone who might be able to repair this in the South? Thanks. Steve B...

Re: Webasto Heater

Try running a temporary supply (with a fuse in) direct from the battery to the heater to make sure power is getting to it. Check the negative side is earthed well. Then have a look to see where the diesel supply is coming from, it's usually tapped into the main supply to the filter or sometimes the...

Re: quick question about willinton splitcharge relay and bat

It won't overcharge your leisure battery, the charge from the alternator is regulated whichever battery it happens to be charging at the time.

Re: Webasto Heater

All you need is diesel and power, so start by checking the pipes to the pump and the fuse. On the Eberspacher equivalent of the rheostat there is a green LED so if there is some form of indicator does it light up? They need a fair but of power to get them started so you could also try it with the e...

Re: Does Cam Belt Power Coolant Pump ?

I've had two cambelt changes in three years. One because I didn't know how old the one was when I bought it and one when I had to have the head replaced just over a year later.

Re: windscreen wiper won't park

There isn't any relay involved circuit below; 1997 Page_62 Most likely will be contacts in the switching module, the intermittent operation is via a small electronics timer not fully shown on the above diagram. Wracking my brains back to a Practical Electronics intermittent wiper controller I made ...

Re: Oven

I've got a Kampa Roastmaster and we love it. It sits on a little plinth above the O/S wheel arch which also protects my cabin heater. The Roastmaster is not supposed to be used in a vehicle but we take great care with the ventilation and have had no problems. We do not have a conversion, just no rea...

Re: A question for Haydn and the electrical techies

Yes to be fair, the LCA doesn't need its own fuse, It is just a neat accessible way of getting a feed in the right area IMO. The main advantage is if your whatever fails and blows its fuse, your coolant alarm is still supplied on its own way. Apologies - on re-reading you were recommending that the...

Re: brace of spanish triangles?

I keep mine in the jack compartment. I have never thought about having two. Will look out for one on offer somewhere. I have left one behind on at least one occasion, being relieved to get mobile again!

Re: A question for Haydn and the electrical techies

Hi Teenmal Ingenious....but I prefer to run a new supply where possible, rather than overload an existing cable !.... It might be a quick fix for the Willinton problem with switching part of the alarm system onto the leisure battery... one alarm unit and split supplies sounds like disaster!.. :wink...
