Re: Calling all ex bongo owners
If you are having to tow a car around with your motorhome you are not using your motorhome correctly. Motorhomes are for touring, caravans are for when you want to stay in one place day after day. Not always, we rarely stay anywhere longer than 2 nights in the caravan. Different people want differe...

Re: Turbos
If by the bottom pipe you mean the oily large bore one that comes off the scroll part of the turbo - then what is does is feed the air pressurised by the turbo to the inlet manifold. If that isn't tightly sealed and in place all your turbo is doing is increasing air pressure under the engine cover.

Re: Calling all ex bongo owners
We bought a motorhome, but kept the Bongo as Mrs S won't drive anything else.
That said it is a 2WD Tintop, so more a car than a camper anyway.

Re: Euro 6 compliant
It always staggers me how somehow petrol engines do not seem to emit any harmful emissions. Sit in a petrol car and connect a hosepipe to your exhaust and you are dead in seconds, but do the same in a diesel and you may just develop a cough. Just what is going on with this "only diesels emit an...

Anyone else noticed that 2 of the mods for this board haven't been active for years?
Are they still moderating?

Re: First failure on Mini(bago)
I'm not sure I would use them for electrical stuff anyway, but their brake bits were good so far as I (and more importantly the MOT tester) could tell.

Re: First failure on Mini(bago)
I've just fitted rear discs and pads from ECP to a Renault Master and the quality was excellent according the the tester who did the re-MOT.

He shouldn't even be SHOWING it to anyone in that condition let alone allowing them to drive it.mikeonb4c wrote:He shouldn't be selling it to anyone without at least refilling and bleeding the system.
The guy clearly knows (or cares) little about Bongos.

Re: Servicing your bongo in the lower mainland BC, canadians?
I entirely agree with Mike - that one fault alone is the worst possible fault to be found, as he says there is no good reason whatsoever for the coolant reservoir being empty and certainly not for the vehicle to be run for any length of time with it empty. Indeed I'm surprised it appears that Instam...

There must be a few Bongos over there as there is a white one in the background of one of the pictures.

Re: Waeco MS 50 Cruise Control - Fitting
Love cruise control, used at the right times. I'm still in control, just in a different way. It isn't auto pilot. Exactly - I use it all the time and it really isn't too difficult to puzzle out how to use it properly. I did a late night journey from home to Pickering (N Yorks) once, well over 90% o...

Hi Errrmmmm...if it doesn't control braking downhill, it's not a lot of good at sticking to speed limits, is it???....I never use them , even though I have cars with them fitted  ....well, I did try one out some months back ....but manipulating throttling coming out of corners makes it a bit o...
