Hi Phil, that is exactly what happened to me, I moved the bleed pipe because it was rubbing but did'nt check the condition of it. The fact that I had moved it from the position that it had been in for thousands of k's probably put stress on the pipe exactly where it was weakened causing it to split....

Water Leak

Driving up to Southport at the weekend I glanced at the temp gauge and saw that it was at 3/4. It had never been over 1/3 , every horror story that I'd read about on the forum about overheating flashed through my head!! Turned around and managed to get home, lifted the passenger seat to have a look ...

Hi Phedders, Yeh, managed to get it sorted. Turned out to be wires chaffed through. One interesting thing though, I was checking the feed to the switch (4 wires in multiplug) and I put a test light across contacts I found that it lit up differently, bright then dim, depending which 2 terminals were ...

Turbo Timer

Hi All, Is it actually illegal to have a turbo timer connected up, or is it just illegal if you use it. My bongos got one fitted , and it passed its MOT (before I bought it). Would it be wise to take it of before the next MOT, or leave it on and have an arguement with the tester if he decides that h...

Flourescent tube

Hi All, How much light should the flourescent tube put out when switched on? Mine was quite dim so I thought I'd change it, I fitted a new one, turned on and bingo! nice and bright as I would have expected. Turned it off then back on and it was the same as the original, and has stayed that way since...

Have just removed the switch and had it checked- working correctly- put a test light across the terminals in the connecting block , and there is a feed to the switch. Checked the wiring at the fogs and nothing shows, is there a relay anywhere that could be faulty?I'm running out of ideas now!!!

Ok, I've decided to have another go . The fuse is ok, so I thought I'd have a look at the switch. Managed to gain access, and found a black wire and a green one,not attached to anything, they look like they've been chopped off. I think they must be connected with the fog wiring as they come from the...

interior lighting

Hi All,
I'm thinking of fitting some additional interior lighting. Has anyone done this? Any ideas (what fittings to use, where to route wiring etc, etc)would be greatly appreciated!

Ta for the replies, I used to have a frontera and the lamps on that only came on when the headlights were on full beam. I did get told that they were'nt strictly fogs but "long range driving lamps" I don't really think there's any difference though! In any case there's no sign of life whet...

front fogs

Hi All,
First of all best wishes to everyone for 2007, next, the front fogs on the bon arn't working, the switch does'nt illuminate when pressed (I have made sure that I've got the headlights on full beam), so I guess that it may be the fuse, can anyone tell me which one it is?

Cooling System

Hi All, I've been thinking of flushing the cooling system on my bongo, but because its not straightforward I don't want to do it if it does'nt need it! When I lift the passenger seat there's a sticker on the chassis with "sludge nizer" and 96000kms written on it (its done 120,000 now) I as...
