You can, but, 1- diesels don't need one 2- they don't work anyway, 'cos diesel don't have a butterfly that slams shut and stops the airflow. 3- they waste energy by "dumping" lots of air pressure just before you need it most. It's easier just to lean out the window and shout PPPPP-Cherrrrr...

Finally finished it today and got it working properly after snipping the black loop that alters the sensitivity of the speed sensor. The hardest bit was reaching and removing the cap over the vacuum take off stub on the pipe at the front of the engine - I'm surprised nobody started a thread complain...
