Re: Not starting
Have you tried jump starting it with another vehicle? Keep the engine running on the ‘good’ vehicle and keep cranking. Hopefully it eventually starts up.

Re: Rust converters, any success.
If you’ve a ‘no rust van’ get the wax oil treatment redone on a regular basis professionally rather than faffing with the rattle can stuff. Treat surface rust where necessary. My experience with ‘treatments’ is that they just postpone the inevitable cut out and replace rusty bits with new steel weld...

Re: 2 DIN Drama :-(
I fitted a 2x Din Android unit in ours, Pumpkin was the brand. Has the reverse cam, Sat Nav, hands free etc. Not had any issues with power draw when turned off. The original Japanese unit I remove was a right hoot, lots of flashing lights, and 8 track tape unit and in it’s silver chrome finish was m...

Re: V6 Engine won't turn over
If the wires have turned black due to heat build up, I’d be checking the socket where the relay slots into. Possibly a bad connection has caused an arc and melted stuff. I’m sure you can test relays - could save a bit rather than replacing parts along the line until it’s resolved.

Re: Coolant Change Petrol (2L)
I don’t remember having to ‘bleed’ air - the 2.0ltr is supposed to self bleed hence all the gurgling. There are plenty of pipes so it will take a while to settle. 9 or 10 litres sounds about right - I removed the rear heater matrix in ours. Check the metal pipes especially the one with a T piece und...

Re: No More Shell For Bongy
Bit annoyed with Shell. We were with PurePlanet as supplier but they went bust. Regulator moved us to ShellEnergy (no choice). Not many deals to be had at the moment, but I’m changing in future on principle.

Try starting it up in the dark, any HT lead / distributor issues are easier to see.

I read that the 2 ltr needs to be set by number 2 cylinder - 1/3/4 doesn’t work.

As I recall the four bolts are the same size. Take on of the others out and ask your local engineering company if hey have one.

Have you checked air intake / filter isn’t blocked or come disconnected? Mice love to nest in the filter box (trust me I know )
