Re: HELP,HELP,HELP i got problems

If the L/B is 4 years old and showing 7.5 volts I would be planning on replacing it sooner rather than latter! You might get a few more cycles out of it, but no where near its proper capacity I suggest!

Re: HELP,HELP,HELP i got problems

Yes it sounds like the L/B is not happy and pulling down the voltage, that might be because its flat, but it would have to be VERY flat. Give it a charge off the van and then try again, but you might find the L/B is knackered! How old is it, does it get a lot of use ?

Re: HELP,HELP,HELP i got problems

Try the earth on both batteries, but you say that the voltage on the S/B is also varying ? Put a test on SB terminals and getting 14.2v then that would drop off then kick back in. The Split charge relay will operate in sequence with that voltage varying, so my guess would be that there is something ...

Yup, Earth points 1 and 2 either side;

see the next page for locations.

You might check that the wiring loom didn't get squashed in the shunt, causing broke wires ?

Re: Firth of Forth

We are in need of a small inlet gasket if you have one. Also since changing the alternator we may well be in need of a fuel filter (sediment and charge lights come on a lot now). Hoping for some advice from fellow bongonauts who may of had the same issue. The two lamps together mean that the altern...

Re: new bongo owner camping power supply question

Oh my, yes it looks like your missing the the "white box" they didn't look for anything small or sleek did they! I somehow don't think your going to find a charger or 12 volt supply either from the mains to keep the L/B topped up when on site!

Re: High level brake light

Matt, Certainly simplest to fix the light would be to take a wire from any other brake light, but I would be worried as to what has happened to cause a breakage/disconnection, what wire next is going to break ? If possible I would try to get to at least the X-09 connector, but the X-27 & 30 migh...
