Re: K & N Filter

Have you ever considered how a K&N air filter gives you more power? The answer is quite simple, it allows more airflow through the filter. In order to do this, of course, it has to have more open area in the filter media and what this means is that it actually filters less dust and other rubbish...

Re: LV Won't insure me ...

Why would sleeping in it make any difference? You could sleep in any car. Does that mean that whilst having a kip at the services on a long journey you're not insured? Sounds like more insurance company B.S. to me :)

Re: full service, 3 days later overheated badly on Motorway

Thank you for all your thoughts and moral support. I am going to pick up the van with its new radiator tomorrow and drive it back to Edinburgh from Berwick, about 60 miles. A bit nervous about that to say the least The garage who recovered and fixed say it was a split radiator caused by old age (I ...

Re: fridge

The question wasn't about airflow it was about whether the flue needed to be fitted for use with gas. I would guess that as it has the facility to be used with a gas supply the flue will need to be fitted otherwise there is a risk that someone will connect gas to it and use it without a flue.

Re: Reversing Light Under Water

Easiest way is to drill a small hole somewhere not too visible which lets the water out and doesn't let it build up again :)

£380 for an awning! It doesn't matter how competitive it was, you wouldn't catch me paying nearly 400 smackers for an awning

Apparently the England team are going to play a friendly against Iceland. If successful they may do other friendly matches with Tesco Asda and Sainsburys :)

Re: Coolant loss !

Lets hope you didn't do any damage by driving it home after refilling it, unless, of course, you carried out the bleeding procedure at the side of the road before you drove it. If the level ever drops below the bottom of the header tank you should never drive it without bleeding it because you will ...

Re: Roof won't close!!

You'll find it closes easier with the hatch open as it lets the air out of the roof without pushing the roof tent out. It also allows you to get some daylight inside from the skylight.

If you use Groupon, they have an offer on at the moment of a campsite called the Hollybush Inn which is on the Wye (in Wales) including canoe / kayak hire.
