CARAVAN INSURANCE ANYONE

Just insured the Bongo with the caravan club at a reasonable price. Purchased a caravan today and being the obvious choice I tried them again but too expensive for a caravan ?? Best I have so far is £200 for an 8yr old Bailey Senator single axle worst being £355. I will put all the toys on like alar...

Re: thermostat

No they did not show me the old head as I did not have time to go down to the Garage as I was working through the holidays and did not get back to the garage until after the new year. You put your trust in people to do a good job but there is always one that will con you I have been down to garage ...

Hi guys I am looking for one 18" alloy of any denomination that fits a Bongo so I can shoe it for a spare. had two punctures last couple of years since I had the lpg fitted and ditched the gummy wheel  Those emergency canisters i carried would have worked if the Tyre had not turned to shr...

Re: VARIOUS SCAMS PLEASE BE WARNED

THE FIGHT BACK. I have lots of calls at work asking to speak to me, most are just mobile phone "advisers" or energy suppliers you know the sort of thing. Anyway Wednesday last week we had a call from a chap claiming to be from British Gas wanting to talk to me. Our Lady of The Desk asked ...

Re: VARIOUS SCAMS PLEASE BE WARNED

If a text message from my daughter contained more than six words I'd immediately be suspicious :) Some of the email ones are very realistic however. The best approach is to assume everything is a scam in the first instance and then look for evidence to the contrary. Agreed, in reality most teens st...

Re: VARIOUS SCAMS PLEASE BE WARNED

Wow! That first one has to be the one of the most evil scams I've ever heard of. Sadly I expect it's very effective. Absolutely disgraceful. Most worrying for any parent because the first thing they would think about is that child's welfare and probably would just do as instructed. There was anothe...

Re: IS IT WORTH IT

Hopefully all will be reveled tomorrow as the van is back in the garage with a list of what to look for from all the good suggestions of the forum. I took notes on them all. The van had not had a good run since the work was done so this morning I checked the header tank first which was between the f...

Re: IS IT WORTH IT

I think the simplest thing to do would be to check that the diverter flaps inside the heater box are operating as they should. If ok then check the Coolant Flow and Temperature In and Out of the heater Matrix. What temperature is the engine coolant running ?. Good call mate and I have written that ...

The secret in fault finding is "Not what has been Done" but "Needs to be done".

Good Luck.
I thought that myself but given the long shot I dismissed it, I will keep this in mind tho!

Re: IS IT WORTH IT

Tend to agree with Windys excellent post i.e. don't panic.....yet. There are good reasons i think why improper bleeding can damage the head on the diesel. But there are not many cases reported of v6 needing new heads because of this. You need to find out why the heater is blowing cold, before anyth...
