Have you tried raising the roof and lowering it again, just in case something didn't quite lock the first time? Maybe part of the tent is caught in the locking mechanism which happened to us once.

OK, last silly question then I promise I'll shut up! If, as I suspect we will do, travel a few hundred miles between sites, if we connect the coolbox to the vehicle battery 12v socket whilst we are driving, will the leisure battery still charge up?

Thanks, Pippin. Last year I did feel we were paying a lot for electricity and wondering whether we actually needed it. Perhaps if we end up stopping somewhere for a long time we won't risk it but if, as I'm sure they are, your calculatons are correct, then we certainly won't bother to hook up for sh...

Dago bemoans everytime we do a long trip that what the Bongo needs is cruise control. The DIY bit is OK if you know what you are doing under a bonnet, but Dago doesn't (but he does have talents in other areas!). Does anyone know of a reliable fitter and the cost all up?
