Re: Continuing starting problems with diesel

Yes it's on the side off the filter housing , I think it's a 12mm hex with a screw driver slot

nth wrote: Sun Nov 17, 2019 7:27 pm Ok my 2kw heater has now arrived & bench tests ok.
Does anyone know the size off hand of the reducing tee piece for tapping into the fuel line?
Dont want to split the fuel line to measure if i can avoid it.
Can I ask which pipe you splice into and its location ?
Thanks

Re: Chinese diesel night heaters

Several people have pointed out that going for a high output power can cause problems, the units like to be run hard otherwise they soot up very easily, so a lower power output is a better from the maintenance point of view and the 2Kw is more than adequate, several on FB have suggested that in a B...

Re: Continuing starting problems with diesel

Hello Sam I've had the same problems as you up until yesterday . I did like you , replace the plugs , filter etc and if anything things were getting worse ! Then I thought about the bleed screw on the filter housing , down by the side , leaking in air and causing my problems so I took it off and fit...

Re: Aircon woes - remove condenser?

Hello alkers I found this condenser at mazdabongo .com but it seems to be for the later model bus and its expensive ! A universal condenser wound be a great idea , I see the pipe connections as the main problem though . I wonder if anyone on here has done anything like this ? https://igmaynard.co.u...

Re: Removing part of a conversion

Hello all On a related note , is it possible to get reconditioned motors as I've read the fact sheet and it looks a bit fiddly to a wrench monkey Like me  Mine seem to be working ok but I was thinking of replacing them as a preemptive strike . Any ideas ? This might help the OP as well . Thanks...

Re: Alternative Part For Aircon Tank / Receiver Drier

I’d expect the end result would be that the desiccant becomes less effective because the dirt filter will now be after it in the flow. I reckon eventually it will fail. However it’s possible that replacing it every so often might work around this - my original was still the after 20 years! I did ho...

Re: Alternative Part For Aircon Tank / Receiver Drier

Whilst this is an old thread I used it for reference recently when doing some work on my aircon which involved replacing the receiver drier. I purchased the HELLA: 8FT351197071 which others have said is compatible. Now, whilst it does appear to be 'compatible', it also appears to be the wrong way r...

Re: New AC condenser

Thanks for the replies gents
As it happens my current condenser is in good working order but like the coolant rad it would benefit from renewel .
Don't think I'm going go down the road of replacing the pipes or getting different joining pieces made up but thanks for the idea .
Thanks again

Re: New AC condenser

Just bumping this up as I think it's potentially very interesting for anyone replacing the AC rad . I know it's expensive but it's an original part . My same question remains : it states it IS the later model OR is it for the later model ? I don't know ! All I know is that it looks very simi...
