The fuses should have a clear top so the metal strip will be clearly blackened & broken if it has fused. As to where to get them - they seem standard on Mazdas of that age - I just got a handful last time I went to the scrapyard. Only suggestion on the rear aircon is to check the controls in the...

Goose - I can show you my wiring on Thursday - I have the cables, the lens/reflectors but not the lamp holders themselves. It's on the list of projects!

I'm no expert on this, but I think the most important thing is that they are all the same rolling circumference, so they each complete one revolution at the same time. In your case, they are all the same, so should be nothing to worry about. There has been much debate about the widths of front &...

Thanks for the info Ian. I found Camberley Auto Factors have a universal one: Drive Line Stickyboot, part number DUB2, for about ?16 inc VAT. Being universal, you have to chop one section off each end & then super glue the gap togther. I was rather doubtful it would work, but it seems to be hold...

Outer CV joint boot replacement

I've noticed one of my outer CV joint boots has just split. I'm trying to avoid taking the whole lot to bits, so was wondering if anyone has any recent experience with fitting a universal split type? I've had a seach on here & it appears that AMK Automotive Components part number CBK 25 will fit...

Some form of filter in the rectangle section before the fan would be a good idea. Now where did I leave my tights.....

Scotty - a delay in changing to 4th gear is normal when the gearbox oil is still warming up. I seem to recall from other posts on the subject that it stays in 3rd to assist the heat up process. I've not experienced it probably since about March time when we last had a cold snap.

I have had a go at this & can report the following: I removed the black plastic duct above the radiator & the top of the fan housing. When trying to spin the fan by hand, there seemed to be quite a lot of resistance, so decided to strip it down for a look. It's a 5 minute job to get the fan ...

I discovered something (the hard way) on this too. On the bottom of the white plastic assembly there is a short pipe. If you connect a piece of tubing to this & carefully loosen the white assembly, it will drain the contents of the filter into a conveniently placed receptical, rather than trying...

Griffin, I think your best option for now would be to put the front set back round the right way if you have any intention of using it as a camper. It will only take you 10 minutes to do. You will find loads of post on the forum about how to do it, but it's much easier if you have someone to help yo...

Also depends which seat arrangement you have. If it has the fold up rear seats then these instructions are correct. If the rear seat is a bench seat that uses the same runners as the front, then reversing the rails will just move the problem to the rear. I've not investigated too much, but it appear...

There is a diagram on the forum somewhere. but there is a little wire c-shaped clip which you can get to between the handle & trim & pull off with a hooked paper clip or similar.

Welcome on board! There's a nasty rumour that we are in discussion to arrange a meeting regarding the possibility of rendezvous at a mutually convenient local hostelry e.g. The Pheasant, Chippenham. Please feel free to join in.
