Re: Front Drop Links
Not tricky at all, just make sure you are secure on axle stands, so when you have to jack up the hub to make the holes meet, you are still solid and secure.

Re: Chuffing brakes again!
Thanks Northern. If both are supposed to have the rubber sleeve, do you know where I can get the lower ones from, as neither side have it. All the refurb packs I can see only have one per side and I don't really want to spend £50 odd a complete pack when all I need is the sleeve (the rest was replac...

Chuffing brakes again!
I had an issue with chuffing brakes a while ago, which after a multitude of new parts was solved by replacing the rubber bush in front of the wishbone (it was missing completely and meant when braking the wishbone was making direct contact with the chassis, transmitting the noise of the pad on disc ...

Re: airbag warning light on permanently
I had the light come on, can't remember if it was solid or flashing but it was a loose connection on the control box. Mine was located under the cubby hole, in front of the gear stick (might have been blue!).
Someone will be along with better info but that might be an easy fix.

Not sure where on the bumper you are thinking but you won't cut it with a stanley knife, that will need to be a sharp hole saw at least

But when you've paid several £1000's over the odds for your rusty 300,000 mile ex RAC van, because it has the right badge on it, £1000 for a tent sounds like a bargain!Northern Bongolow wrote:

Re: A quiet fridge?
I have a Waeco (the CDF26 I think) and it is near silent. When the compressor kicks in, you can sort of hear it but even the lightest sleep (my OH!) can sleep through it!

Re: Calling all ex bongo owners
If you are having to tow a car around with your motorhome you are not using your motorhome correctly. Motorhomes are for touring, caravans are for when you want to stay in one place day after day. Not always, we rarely stay anywhere longer than 2 nights in the caravan. Different people want differe...

Re: Hot alloys
I've just done a 20 mile journey in the fens, so no hills and the centres of the alloys range from 38-45 degrees c. No idea if that is normal, just reporting!

Re: Calling all ex bongo owners
When we went down the caravan route we looked at those and another small one I can't remember the name of, is it freedom? But they were so expensive we ended up with a 17' caravan with all facilities for a lot less. We have a Compass 2 berth with full bathroom for £4000. Couldn't argue when you look...

Re: Hot alloys
I keep an infrared thermometer in the Bongo and of course can't remember readings I've got now, but I think the centre of the alloy has got to around 50-60 degrees before.

Re: The Dark Side
I am on both of theses excellent forums and other motoring forums, what I don't understand is why you need to pay to get fact sheet information. :? But why shouldn't we pay for them? The costs of running a forum need to be covered somehow. If you don't charge for using the forum you have to cover c...
