Autoglass normally take the windscreen excess from you when they replace the window and they claim off your insurance.....that's my experience.....have your insurance cert handy.....Alan

Hi zz.....sorry to hear about your break-in......even though I have a cat 1 alarm immobiliser fitted....my biggest fear is that some scrote will do the same to me....even though the alarm will go off if they break a window....it's the hassle of getting it fixed.....can't fault autoglass as they trac...

Hi Tim......you are going to use the same system that we do eg cigar socket with crocodile clips....we run two florescent lights and occaissionally a dvd player with no problems at all..put it on trickle charge ftercamping...no need for a split charge cct..Alan

Thanks Dave....I used to be an electrician but I think I am cured now according to my psy....phsy....sicia.....my shrink.....but you are right in what you say.....a full drop test on the battery is the only way to find out if it is going to let you down...Alan

What we all need to realise is that your battery will not last forever.....especially if it has run flat.....it will lose a lot of its capacity.....I think that Pippin mentioned this on an earlier post.......I think that the best solution is that if you have doubts about your battery the best thing ...

Why not try some coloured plastic from a craft shop and fit it over the light.......it comes in different colours so you could change it to suit your mood.....easily attached with some sticky back velcro and a bit of imagination........Alan

Hi Moonshine..t could be a long shot but there was a problem last year sometime with the roof beeper and it was the actual roof down button....if you press it a few times itmight clear a dirty contact and shut the beeper up......could be wrong bu worth a try.....Alan

Do not expose your brake fluid to the atmosphere for any longer than necessary..it attracts moisture like a sponge....leading to boiling when hot and brake fade....Alan
