Personally I would drop the engine to the floor first then raise the vehicle. If you are on your drive way put a skid board down first .
And it will be a lot lighter to lift the body without the engine and gear box.

The reversing light switch is P&P of the Inhibitor switch on the side of the gear box, The reversing light switch is P&P of the Inhibitor switch on the side of the gear box, reversing lights are not part of the MOT test.

It might be worthwhile checking that the connector is sound and clean, also the wiring from the connector.

I can see that the glow plugs has been covered many times & there is a lot of info including a fact sheet, however... Checking the fact sheet & my VIN number it recommended that I needed the short glow plugs for my 98’ Bongo so I ordered a set of NGK 5116 Y-701J These were the short (83mm) ...

It would be worth checking that the withdrawal lever has clearance and not sticking.
Another way to check the strength of the clutch assay is to drive the vehicle at a fair speed keeping your foot on the accelerator , quickly dip the clutch and release. If the clutch is faulty you will know.
