Re: Air leak from pillar behind drivers head

Rather than mess about with the interior have you thought about removing the rear heater fuse? It is marked in the fuse box under the bonnet. It might work and twenty seconds effort in that regard could save a lot of time and frustration - just a thought!

Lifting roof electrics

Cos of the fire I need to put direct power to the roof motors. Does anyone know the route of the wires to the motors so I can lift the roof. The colours of the wires would help. I think a battery connected directly will move things so I can get at the stuff in the roof

Re: Overheating issues with a difference!

Update. Well a few mates have rallied round. A 24 year old Freda has been bought! Number 100081 which I think was made in May or June 1995. It needs some welding ?? it has duff engine. Sounded like a sewing machine but clearly head gasket has gone or as I expect the head itself. So welding t...

Re: Overheating issues with a difference!

Update. ...... Son in law has mates and friends. They appreciate my problem and - would you believe it - A ford Freda has just been acquired to either act as a surrogate to have my engine transplanted or to provide the necessary bits. Due to collect tomorrow. As ford Freda's are cheaper to insure (!...

Mine is in "dry dock" at the moment having the clunk repaired! Must have it right for another long trip.my bongo. In the time I have owned my bongo I have driven 280000 kilometres. It has over that time needed a reconditioned engine and two cylinder heads. It has also had two radiators. In...

Re: My mpg and cost per mile

I have used cooking oil for ten years. My recycled oil used to clog the fuel filter. Now I use new oil that is no longer an issue. I get similar. Miles per litre whether it is diesel or cooking oil. This was the first time I have bothered to keep accurate records of what goes into the tank and what ...
