Re: Bongo Campervan Wifi
The battery in the router is a standard ultrafire battery also used in those high powered LED CREE torches on eBay. The torches are only £14 or so and have spare batteries and car chargers!

Re: Your thoughts on an easy install Solar panel kit?
I have a maplin 13w kit. The panels lay out on the grass and the cable goes in the passenger window to the transformer/regulator in the glovebox. The panels fold up and slide in one of the cubby holes in the back. It keeps my leisure battery alive a little longer whilst at mountain bike racers.

Re: Double DIN
I never thought of cutting that bit off. i just drilled a bigger hole in it so I could add in another cable. I have a seperate freeview box located in the glovebox - it's one of the ebay 12v specials (that can even record to USB when you're "out") but mine seems to only get the BBC channel...

Re: blowing exhaust - which bit is this?
I got a stainless Powerflow exhaust added to the Bongo from a local powerflow specialist* looks really good and the bongo is driving really well. They had done a bongo before and are really happy to do more. They removed the winter warmer pack and left in the downpipe from the engine attaching the s...

Re: mapping? - 2 litre
Most remaps nowadays (eg on ford transit) are for turbo engines where the ECU can be reprogrammed and change the behaviour of the waste gate on the turbo. Some use piggy back ECU's others just rely on reprogramming. Most modern engines take a cautious approach to save warranty claims etc. Remaps on ...

Re: blowing exhaust - which bit is this?
local powerflow guy is going to do this but life is never easy. My van has the mazdaspeed sills on it and he only has a 2 post lift so I'm going to have to try and get them off this weekend!!! He is going to leave the front section and then put a stainless system from the first flange and then to th...

Re: blowing exhaust - which bit is this?
through the power of search, I think there are two solutions:

Re: blowing exhaust - which bit is this?
does anyone know where to get a stainless exhaust system fitted in Scotland (or anywhere in "the north")? I was looking up some old receipts and the centre bits of that exhaust have lasted exactly 18 months. I guess because of the salt on the roads here plus the fact that I go skiing a lot...

Re: blowing exhaust - which bit is this?
thanks both! Hopefully will have it fixed. I use the bongo for skiing so the winter pack is useful - although, saying that, I've never needed to use it it in anger!

blowing exhaust - which bit is this?
not entirely sure how this passed its MOT especially as i said "I think the exhaust is blowing a bit" - anyway, I was underneath doing some waxoil topup and noticed this. Which bit is this? it looks pretty corroded and I'll get bongobill to fix it for me - but what is the name of this bit?...

Re: driving without front propshaft
Sorry if this is daft, but are the front wheel/tyre circumferences the same as the rear? An odd non-mettallic sound could be the tyres jumping.

Re: Bongo Campervan Wifi
I have a solwise 3g router and USB 3g with a magmount booster antenna on the roof. Total cost about £70..! And you don't need to piggy back on someone else's WiFi connection See: http://www.solwise.co.uk/3g-routers-3g-etr-9360.htm http://www.solwise.co.uk/3g-datacard-to-antenna-adapters-adpt-026.htm
