Sorted now
gave banjo a good clean
cleaned air intake inside
blew down fuel line to clear gauze

goes like the clappers now!

Is there a type of pump that will suck everything out? might be alot easier and would also be useful for changing the atf?

cheers Simon thanks for the advice the diagrams threw me for a bit until i realised yours is a petrol #-o

unfortunately I have a wooden floor and cupboards fitted so only option is remove the filler pipe.

Had a good look under the tank for a bleed bung, can't see one and can't see where the pipes out out of it. My bongo don't seem to have the power it should and does not like to rev above 3000 revs over about 2500 i get alot of soot coming out and marking the road it won't go above 3000 for sustained periods and shudders a bit. just measured the intercooler rough measurements are 1ft wide x 6" high x 2.5" deep not very big at all for now i have expanded the plastic scoops with some struts to see if this makes any difference. I'll take the thing off when it warms up a bit and stops raining and give it a good clean...

Looking for info on how to replace bongo intercooler with another larger second hand one (not a custom = expensive job) hear that the spacewagon one can be used or was it the delica one. ANyone done this any feedback on power gain mpg comparisons?

you could always add up to 10% petrol to the tank just in case that's the old method and easy it will also clean the injectors yo will however lose some power at higher revs due to petrol vaporizing on the low pressure injector pump side (vapour lock) ibtw I mistakenly had 20% in with my veg oil and...

I use an engine pre-heater, heats the engine block and all the coolant to 40'C in about 30 mins just plugs in to the mains I use a caravan style adapter. cost £75 ebay btw when i bled the system i found about 10L of coolant!!!
