We've destroyed and binned 2 awnings already this year, a Movelite XL snapped its' fibreglass poles when the winds picked up during the night and I slept thru it (ear plugs) and a Royal Traveller 3 took so much water on the joining tunnel section (again while I slept) it snapped the closest fibregla...

I haven't tried taking the freda over there yet,did you have any issues with any of the off

Had a peaceful couple of nights at the Allithwaite site. Credit to the folks involved in opening up the playing fields to campers,excellent idea. Have you tried selecting the 'L' and using the 'Hold' button ?
Should make things a little easier to control if the lane is really steep...
