We've destroyed and binned 2 awnings already this year, a Movelite XL snapped its' fibreglass poles when the winds picked up during the night and I slept thru it (ear plugs) and a Royal Traveller 3 took so much water on the joining tunnel section (again while I slept) it snapped the closest fibregla...

I haven't tried taking the freda over there yet,did you have any issues with any of the off
camber hairpins,I have been over in a Transit (75bhp) and it struggled badly with the climbs ?

Credit to Muz Jr for that effort,I've ridden the 2 passes many,many times on 2 wheels.... aided by a motor though... and my best time from the bottom of Wrynose to the end by the Birker fell turn is a little over 9 minutes...It was very early in the morning and the road was pretty quiet,well it was ...

Absolutely agree poohbear,I have ridden bikes for over 35 years and would'nt ever consider wearing Hi-viz or ride with DRL on. I've seen too many of my friends consider themselves invulnerable cos they have lights on or sam brown belts (remember them?) and then blame others if they get knocked off o...

2 nights at Allithwaite

Had a peaceful couple of nights at the Allithwaite site. Credit to the folks involved in opening up the playing fields to campers,excellent idea. Thanx to Jo for pointing us in the right direction as we drove aimlessly round the block looking for the playing fields... #-o We enjoyed the bowling leag...

Have you tried selecting the 'L' and using the 'Hold' button ?
Should make things a little easier to control if the lane is really steep...
