Surely the longer one is on the passenger side?
Unfortunately I'm not near the van at the moment so can't check either!

Re: Windscreen wiper arm length
I fitted a new driver's side wiper a few weeks ago.
16 inch. Bought it in Lidl expecting it to be in a metric size which I had measured in anticipation. That's Europe for you!

Re: crafty space saving installation suggestions
If you are not using the van for family purposes, I would recommend taking out the rear seat if it is the bench type rather than flip ups. You can save a bit on the insurance and have more space for carting things around. I slide the middle seat to the back and use 'Really Useful' boxes as lower lim...

Re: Overheating - Looking for troubleshooting steps
I've found a way of getting the bung in without scalding and without letting air back in. For all recent bleeds I have been using a bucket style yogurt container as the bleed reservoir and seesawing above and below the header tank level until I am satisfied there is no air in the system. An added bo...

Re: Removing middle bench seat to create space - a good idea?!
Ah! I forgot to mention another advantage of taking out the rear seat instead of the middle one is that 'the bits left sticking up are out of the way at he back and make a convenient set of stoppers to set the folded down remaining seat in bests place for folding flat. Of course, if you decide to ke...

Re: Removing middle bench seat to create space - a good idea?!
If your rear seat is a bench on full length rails, you will be better off removing that as it is lighter to lift. The middle bench can then be positioned at the back for sleeping, further forward if you want to talk with passengers while driving or anywhere in between. Most of all, the middle seat i...

Re: Low Coolant Alarm & Engine Temp Monitor
I always support Haydn Alarms as Haydn was the Bongo owner who thought to make available the much needed LCA to Bongo owners, some time before you could buy cheaper alternatives. You can buy cheaper, but I doubt any supplier matches overall the combination of after sales support, spec and quality a...

Re: Rear Heater Leak
thank you, Roy.
I will check that out with Wickes.
Meanwhile, I had a quick look underneath and no immediate sign of trouble but it is as well to gather some bits and pieces and also visualise the job in anticipation.

Re: Rear Heater Leak
Hello. I had exactly the same problem with my rear matrix. My fix was to bypass the matrix using some 15mm copper pipe, 2 copper elbows, which come pre soldered so you just need to heat them with a blow torch to fit them. And finally 2 copper pipe joiners which go over the pipe (which insert into y...

I have a web plus membership and always keep some back issues of the paper edition in the van with me to give to Bongo owners I bump into (in a manner of speaking) if they are not already members. Whether this has ever resulted in a new membership is not something I know but no harm in trying! Frank

Re: ALERT!! Fix those rusty pipes sooner rather than later
Thanks for the timely warning.
I went out straight after breakfast to check and they look OK but I will carefully clean any salty muck off and may put a precautionary binding of self amalgamating tape and do likewise with the coolant T piece section.
