Storage boxes/bed base
I have an unconverted bongo with the rear sliding bench removed for extra load carrying space. I am looking for either storage boxes or some kind of storage chest / ottoman that is the same height as the seats so they could be used as a bed base with an air bed on top. I am wondering what others use...

Re: Middle seats all the way to back
I got the back seat out today. I have left the sliders in but pushed to the very back. Had to use an extension bar to get the bolts off as the were very tight. I got the seat out and into the garage myself but it is heavy so I lowered it onto some cardboard and slid it into the garage. I will see wh...

Re: What to do with Abandoned Wiring
Thanks for replies, I think I will tape it up and get it under the carpet for now and in the better weather I might have a go at tidying it up.

Middle seats all the way to back
Am I correct in thinking that if I unbolt and remove my rear sliding seat and remove the sliders from the rails I will be able to slide my middle seat all the way back to the rear door and lock it in place there? If I do this people can then sit at the back and use the rear seat belts? This would gi...

What to do with Abandoned Wiring
Just behind the middle seat I have about 10 wires protruding out of the floor with various connectors and plugs on them. On the front dash there was some kind of aftermarket screen which I have unplugged and removed. I am guessing the wires on the floor in the back were connected to the front screen...

Re: Electric Hook Up -Newbie question
Thanks for the info and link. I will give it a go with the lead I have (has an rcd built in) going though a window and see how it goes. As you say the ventilation isn't a bad thing and I will be using it to boil a travel kettle as well so will be some steam from that. The suggestion of using a bit o...

Electric Hook Up -Newbie question
I am wondering if there is any benefit it getting proper electric hook up to an unconverted Bongo with a leisure battery? I am planning some winter camping at campsites and wondering if I just crack a window and put in a lead(with RCD) through a window to connect to an oil filled radiator/boil a sma...

Removable rear kitchens and insurance
Hi I am planning on getting an unconverted Bongo in the next few months. Just wondering what experiences with insurance people have had when adding a removable rear kitchen unit to an unconverted bongo registered and insured as an MPV, with commuting to work cover. Do you then have to get motorhome ...
