Re: Leisure Battery

The minimum worthwhile power is 100Watt panel, personally I would go for roof mounting. Be aware that devices on eBay and the like are rather suspect quality see my previous posts that still apply https://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/viewtopic.php?p=679313#p679313 I should also suggest if your concer...

Re: Climate control bulbs

If there the type that fit on the holders then there wire ended 12 volt pea bulbs easily available on eBay and other sites, but you need to have retained the holders to wrap the wires around. https://www.google.co.uk/search?num=100&newwindow=1&safe=off&source=hp&q=wire+ended+12+volt+...

Re: Wheel arch trims

Welcome aboard! Wheel arch trims are usually not very popular as they trap moisture behind them and generate rust from the front surface, the wheels arches on a Bongo tend on there own to rust from the rear as the metal isn't treated (they don't use salt on the roads in Japan) so you end up with rus...

Re: Cuts Out When Selecting Drive

Rather similar sounding problems to the ones I had back in August 2018 which resulted in a gearbox rebuild. I didn't get a descriptive report from the re-builders, just a big bill, but something metallic appeared to break off in the torque convertor and cause chaos for about 3-4 miles and then it se...

Re: Missing images Photobucket ?

Too be honest I had basically forgotten about it myself as its been installed for such a long time, it was only that someone moaned to me that they couldn't see the pictures that reminded me of the problem so I thought I would post a link to the extension! I have noticed that more and more images ar...

Re: ECU fuse blows and engine stops when accelerating, help please!

The 2.5 TD engine is the WL-T engine so all those circuits above that have the WL-T listed against it are possible causes of the problem, its normally the wiring itself that is the cause but can be something on the end as well of course! 15 Amp Mini fuse Engine - Control System - WL-T Engine - Cooli...

Re: ECU fuse blows and engine stops when accelerating, help please!

Welcome, which engine do you have ? The fuse you mention covers many things which will all fail if it blows, but without knowing which engine..... 15 Amp Mini fuse Engine - Control System - WL-T Engine - Control System Ignition - FE-E,J5-DE Engine - Fuel Control System - FE-E, J5-DE Engine - Cooling...

Re: AFT ( not ATF) roof problem & scavynger fan

Any error code will only exist whilst the hold/glowplug light is flashing, if the light is not flashing then the error codes don't exist.

Re: AFT ( not ATF) roof problem & scavynger fan

With an automatic gearbox you need to link the; TAT, pin M to Ground which is E or V pins on the diagnostic socket with a straight link. Then you need to use a small 12v bulb or LED for 12v working; FAT, pin F via the lamp to the +12v pin (Battery) on pin D, if you use a LED then make sure its conne...

Re: AFT ( not ATF) roof problem & scavynger fan

As regards use of FEN and TEN pins are you a MANUAL gearbox ? If not then you need FAT and TAT pins which are for the Automatic gearbox see below: Flashing HOLD or flashing GLOWPLUG light means the computers Transmission Control Module (TCM) and Power Control Module (PCM) that make up the Engine Con...

Re: ATF roof problem & scavynger fan

Show us a picture of your diagnostic socket ? You do realise the diagram is upside down as shown as its from a different Mazda vehicle from the Bongo. "just stops when buton pressed" which button are you pressing that stops it ? When its Beeping then the Up/Down switch should work, but the...

Re: ATF roof problem & scavynger fan

There are quite a few circuits that are NOT controlled by the Ignition switch but controlled by the ECU itself which also remains powered when the ignition is off, this is normal there are engine functions that need to happen during cooling down etc. With regard to the AFT, does the beeping stop on ...

Re: ATF roof problem & scavynger fan

The scavenger fan runs from the temperature sensor that is mounted under the handbrake handle and juts into the engine housing to measure the temperature, its controlled by the ECU and will shut off when the temperature drops but the question is why is it thinking the engine housing temperature is t...
