Where do I get one from and are they easy to connect? No, many auto access...

Re: Siezed bongo?

If the engine was seized I would expect there to be some sound from the starter itself, trying to turn. You could monitor the battery voltage as you try as although the starter solenoid works on the bench with no load it may well fail under high currents required to turn the engine. You could try sh...

Re: Tyre advice

You can reposition the speedo needle on its spindle to get it closer to the real speed. It can be fiddly because the needle is held against the bottom stop by a spring which makes guessing the 0MPH position difficult but with practice you can get it almost spot on at one speed at least. Note this ha...

Re: Caravan Towing Questions

Nose weight is much more to do with the tow vehicle, too much and you will find steering both light and imprecise, very dangerous, and too little and the van can pitch and lift your tail again dangerous. In most cases the minimum nose weight is 50 Kgs and some vehicles cant take much more than that....

Re: leisure battery..

Yes I tend to agree. regarding 11.9v being discharged. On the internet 11.9v seems to be accepted as 80% discharged and the lower end. With 10.9 being flat. However go outside - declined to accept the battery was faulty. Also when you look into the warranty it is some-what limited for example the b...

Re: Replacement hose clamps - which ones?

As hinted in posts above, whilst many have done fine with jubilee clips, many have had to resort to re-tightening after a period of settling. In the meantime, they may suffer a (hidden) leak, and the consequences of that. And, if the clip is in an awkward place, sorting the issue can be time consum...

Re: Replacement hose clamps - which ones?

Why are normal jubilee clips frowned upon, they are widely used especially on boats on critical parts like sea water inlets.
