Re: Scotland tour 2016

Oh boring! Well not quite. It is just that apart from Islay I have been to all of these places, most more than once. Missed out on Islay due to having to go home early following a death in the Family. Great photographs I must admit, now living in Scotland I am getting a bit lazy taking them myself. ...

Re: north coast 500

I did it years ago when climbing Munros, long before anyone thought of calling it the North coast 500. All the way up the East coast there are good duel roads, but along the top of Scotland from Thurso to Durness is all single track. More single track roads can be found down the West coast just sout...

Re: Bongo Purchase

Try a PM to Steviebongo in Glasgow. Stevie is an old hand at Bongos having run one years ago, now he is back with another Bongo. Being a mechanic has its advantages. Check out Post "Possible return to Bongoland".

Motorhome passed its MOT yesterday and had a service today. Definitely going to be there now. Arranged habitation service for when I get back.

Re: Calling all ex bongo owners

Hi Sara, Did you know that the Gordons from Aberdeenshire turned up at at both Lossiemouth and Red Squirrel last year in a spanking new van based on a transit. No Idea who built it, may have been by Wildaxe. Get them to come to a meet somewhere so you can learn the vans pros and cons from them befor...

Re: 16th-18th Sept 2016 Knights Stainforth, Settle, North Yorkshire

Seems an interesting prelude to the Silverdale Beer Festival and held in my old stomping ground having done the Three Peaks twice. I will really try to be there, just me as June is not able to travel just now. Having just had an MRI scan on her back problem and is waiting for the results.

Re: Flookburgh Steam Gathering 29th – 31st July 2016

Never seen the Steam Gathering despite the number of tines I've been To Alithwaite. There might be a chance that I will turn up this time and steal someone's hookup. Just me again as June is not fit to travel having just had an MRI scan on her back and is waiting for the results. Hope that the Steam...

Re: Ferries to western isles

We did the Oban, Barra, Stornoway to Ullapool hopscotch trip in our Bongo in late May early June 2007 and the only ferry that we booked was that from Oban and had no problems. This enabled us to take our time, even then it is possible to phone ahead to Stornoway to book on the ferry to Ullapool but ...

Re: May Bank Holiday weekend 27th May – 30th May 2016

Depending on how things go I just might turn up. Still waiting for the builders to find the time to do the new Kitchen I have designed for June. (Doing the plastering part myself). Plus my old college pal telling me it is ok for me to join him and his family for a holiday in Amman. Been promising to...

Re: Hawick Bongo Dealer

https://www.gumtree.com/campervans-motorhomes/hawick/mazda+bongo This is the first that I knew there was a Bongo dealer in Hawick. But then I have been out of it a bit lately having sold my Bongo privately 3 years ago and moved up to a motorhome to please my other half. But looking at the adverts I ...

Re: Another Scottish newbie

Try a post in the Welsh section to see if there is anyone living near the seller who could give this Bongo the once over for you. Save you a long expensive trip if it is a dud.
