Hey Bigdaddy,

How do you adjust the lighting to the fact that the clear lamps are only supposed to come on when you are reversing and the red lamp on when you are going forward in fog.

I do have alloys and 215/65/R15 96H tyres fitted all round but have no idea if my suspension has been lowered. This is they way the Bongo was kitted out when I received it from JAL. Tyres are all in good condition with Toyos on the front and Brigestones on the rear. There was no problem with the rid...

If anyone is intrested in fitting an Air Assisted Suspension Kit. I got mine from Marcle Leisure in April and had a local garage fit it for me. They have gone up in price from £130.66 to £146.21 since then.

I noticed that when I first took delivery of my Bongo it appeared to be suseptable to side winds. In preparation for my holiday in the Western Isle with four adults in the Bongo I had Coil Rite Air Spring Assisters fitted to improve the ride and prevent possible bottoming out. The Bongo ride has now...

The only wiring guide available for Bongos is on the CD-ROMS sold by Ian in the club shop.

It is only partly converted to English with most of the schematics being in Japanese. An understanding of the schematics would therefore be very helpful.

According to the fuse chart supplied by Ian. The fuse for the wipers is inside the drivers cab above the bonnet and fuel releases. It is number 15 a 30A fuse which is second from the right on the second row of fuses. Funnily enough the fuse is actually marked 20A but the write up says 30A. Anyone th...

Definitely take the spare wheel off. I got mine waxoyled by my converter. When I got round to replacing the skinny spare wheel with a proper wheel I found that the skinny spare had been sprayed over leaving a bare patch on the underbody where the wheel is located. Now I am gong to have to spray that...

Heavy earth strap gratefully received today, thanks Waycar8. Fitted to Bongo, then starter battery recharged and Bongo taken for a run. Now the waiting begins to see if my starter battery at long last stops loosing its charge. Watch this space.

Hi Pipin. I noticed today that only the starter battery has an earth strap between its negative terminal and the bodywork. The leisure battery does not have an earth strap attached to it but appears to be connected directly to the voltage sensing relay. When dandy checked it out two weeks ago he sai...

Spoke too soon. Trying the Bongo today after leaving it on the drive for 6 days it would not start. Clock working ok but new 40A fuse had blown. Checked voltage of starter battery voltage was down to 10V. Looked inside the lunchbox for any damage, none appearent. (Relay noted as a NAGRES rated 12V 4...

Lucky you Dandy. Remind me to buy a motorbike when I have finished kitting out the Bongo, still have all my camping equipment including four tents.
What a faulty battery supplied by Ian! Ooh the shame of it. He would never have got over it.
Thanks again, Tony.

After fiddling arround inside the Lunch Box amongst the assortment of relays and connectors Alan was able to determine that the top one of the three 30amps fuses fixed to ...
