I was sure I'd remembered seeing a blow by blow ( no pun intended - honest  ) of the fan removal by someone not long after I'd done mine, but couldn't find anything when I just had a quick look. Pruned? It is definitely not a difficult job though as i did it within a couple of hours wit...

Not being an expert or anything, but it's not down to incorrect tyre sizes & the wind up effect on a 4wd is it?

If the tyre sizes are correct & the face has been replaced, the needle may have been taken off & replaced incorrectly, in which case it will have no bearing on the mileage. If it bothers you that much, you can unscrew the surround, drop the steering wheel adjustment down, pull it forward, un...

50% is overkill, 5 litres should do it, that gives you just over 33% mix with a bit of spillage allowance (13.5 litres coolant capacity).

Go in with the relevant info re amounts of oil & coolant required in both systems if you have front & rear. It's been discussed on here before if you do a search, top up info should be on the members factsheets.

Rather than spend hours looking it up (lazy me) can you remind me v quickly Missf what the pros/cons are of the £12 Allens kit and the £18 NickSkidmore kit. Maybe this is a job I should get done on my Bongo. Have you noticed much change in performance and/or fuel consumption? Allans kit I think is ...

Digital temp guage for engine

Fitted one of these, the same as Brorabongo, don't like it :( Scared me silly the first couple of times it squeaked over 114 degrees as I cruised down Puddletown bypass at 70mph (ish  ).

we had the egr removed completely when new exhaust fitted. Was this the exhaust recirc bit under the chassis that is actually part of the exhaust as the cold start doohickey, or the egr system on the engine that returns air from the turbo back into the air inlet manifold? If it's the former it isn'...

2 different kits available that I know of, one from Allans in Plymouth that blanks but leaves egr in place, the other removes the egr completely, made by another club member whose name I can't remember at the moment, even though I bought & fitted one  . Both have their own merits, chances ...

simple coolant flush/temp sensor/speedo needle

Got around to doing a few bits on the bongo today, most importantly - a coolant flush. I ended up using a similar method to BDC's I think, I figured if I don't let the head tank empty, I'm not gonna end up with a possiblity of an airlock. I got my hosepipe ready with a trigger nozzle & topped up...

I've had no problems with mine, admittedly the step is a different make & mounted slightly lower, but i don't reckon you'll have any problem. if you are that worried, hitch it up at the most severe angle you can & see how it sits :D
