I've booked! All being well, I'll get the day off work and arrive in daylight.

Re: Breakdown cover refused ... recommendations?
We've got breakdown cover with our bank account (Nationwide Flex Plus). I've used it 3 times, only once for the Bongo, and it seems pretty good.

Re: Total cost of ownership
I may have been lucky but in 3 years of ownership, my Bongo costs have been insurance, tax, fuel, MOT and servicing. My front windscreen washer motor needed replacing and also an internal light. So this last year (excluding fuel), it has cost me £650. Fuel has cost about the same again.

Re: Bongo security as a lone woman?
I wouldn't pay much attention to other people's fears. If you want to buy a Bongo and travel solo, just go for it. I bought my Bongo 3 years ago and love it. Most of the time I travel alone, once in a blue moon one of my boys or my OH will join me but it's rare. I've never had any concerns about sec...

Re: Wanted: lightweight ladies cycle
I had a women's lightweight Carrera from Halfords once, it was OK but not as nice as the one I replaced it with (a Claue Butler Urban 200). Similar kind of price if I recall correctly. I've not used mine for a couple of years and was planning to check it over at the weekend. If I decide I'm not like...

Re: Rough cost to convert
I was quoted between £2500 to £3500 for my mid-conversion with leisure battery, split charge unit, EHU, 2 plug sockets, cooker, and sink, vinyl flooring, no fridge.

It was a great meet and a good venue, Jill. Thanks for organising it. Thanks also to Bob for rescuing my Bongo from the mud on Friday evening. I did contemplate staying there until the mud froze but Bob had a better solution and towed me out! The pub was warm and friendly and was very welcome place ...

I was there last weekend! Got the bus from near the site to Upton upon Severn which was like stepping back in time, well worth a visit!Jillygumbo wrote: ↑Wed Nov 29, 2017 1:39 pmI'm staying there in a couple of weeks!Joe_anne123 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 27, 2017 7:58 pm Blackmore club site in the Malverns is great and in a lovely area to explore.
