I just thought it would give better access as it lifts the front end, I found that having the bongo on ramps meant less stooping, is all, but then you prob'ly can't start it anyhoo also when you do the enevitable drop tools an stuff it makes it easier to retrieve from underneath

Hi All changing the steering boot, any one know what the Bongo is fitted with just been down the motorfactors and they have nothing that will fit the beast, it measures 22cm long the problem is the wide end opening, I'm assuming that there is another vehicle that has a similar size fitted that the B...

Alloys and tyres deflating
Took the Bongo to have the tyres looked at today as part of the ongoing maintenance I'm undertaking I thought the tyres may be punctured or have faulty valves, both the front tyres tend to deflate over a couple of weeks or so. But, It's worse than that, it's the alloy rims they have corroded on the ...

Re: Cam Belt Rotation?
'turned by getting underneath, removing the under tray and using a big adjustable, but this means jacking up: if you can get a six-face socket (i.e. with a hexagon inside) it will be more inclined to stay on the nut too. Don't worry about undoing the nut, with the glowplugs out it turns over nicely....

Re: Cam Belt Rotation?
I would rotate it clockwise working on the asumption the belt is fitted when you are rotateing the engine and given you will proberly be useing the bolt in the middle of the pully to rotate the fly wheel or belt pully what ever you want to call it. It would def be clockwise otherwise you would be u...

Re: Cam Belt Rotation?
Hi sparkymik, If you rotate the crank shaft clockwise, the cam belt will probably turn anti clock owing to it being driven by a gear from the crank shaft.Hope this makes sense.. Cheers Mal.. Hi Mal end this is from the factsheet Next you need to line up the pulley marks. The cambelt is actually driv...
