Nick's problem is with the temp sender grumps...........the same logic applies as to the tank sensor but if I remember rightly, the temp sensor circuit also has links to the auto gearbox wiring circuit, which if earthed by a chafed wire could give the same symptoms :?

Depends on the manufacture Scotty.........it's usually dark red and translucent, although some (I think it's Duckhams) is blue).
There should be a sweet smell to it, any "burnt toast" smell indicated burned clutch plates :(

Interesting thing checking my atf oil. Vehicle supplied serviced by dealer. Check gearbox oil after 20 miles. Use the usual method, up and down the selector, leave in Park engine running. Oil foaming and right up the dip stick to the bent bit. Way over the full mark. Suck over a litre of oil out, d...

You did well then Dandy, did that include the cubybox? I notice some are selling the clock on its own. I raised this initially as the fixed price seemed reasonable and the plug and wires are a definite bonus. The mazda one may fit without altering the fixing lugs (perhaps others can confirm) but I ...

Trouble is, for the driver the clock really needs to be on the right hand side of the unit and thus closer. I assume that because the dial face is totally symmetrical the whole unit could be fitted upside down so that the clock is closer to the driver? Doesn't work Bruce, tried it, but the parallax...

Good tip and welcome Barnet...........I just got a similar one from a 3 series on evilbay last week and fitted it at the weekend.

They look just fine and dandy.......although finding a suitable wire for the light was a pain in the proverbial

You will need a new joint if it's been knocking for that distance LeCCy. Assuming the joint isn'r seized into the hub then it shouldn't be a big job to change, I'm guessing an hour and a half / 2 hours total

we'll be starting to have a look soon prb, as our bongo seems to bounce about all over the place and we need to harden it up a bit somehow. i'll let u know if we come up with anything :) it's on a to-do list but a bit low on the priorities atm while we have builders in >.< and the roofbox hunt is s...

DON'T fit uprated springs prb.......you've already uprated the originals by fitting low profile tyres. Tyres are the first form of vehicle suspension, so if anything you would want to go for softer springs and stronger damping (if available, and I can't find them  ) You'll probably find a new s...
