Re: Cambelt change - is it just mileage or time?

Cambelt was changed in January 2006 on import to UK at 35,500 miles so done 45,000 miles. Mileage now is 80,000. Going on a trip to the mountains in Norway in July, about 3000 miles, which will be fairly hard going. Would it be wise to have it changed before we go? I would appreciate any advice. ar...

Re: do i need a body kit??

Hey 8etty. Got an aero kit on my 2000 model. Haven't had any issues with ground clearance. I think they suit lighter coloured ones. Mines white/silver. Dread to imagine trying to replace it though if prices are that high. Have you tried Bell hill? They break bongos and have aftermarket stuff in. To...

Re: 17" alloy wheel for spare

I have a 2wd with rare 17" alloys, and I just keep a 15" wheel as spare (i've needed it a few times too - my Bongo has had more punctures than yer average car). Incidentally, do you have the right tools to remove yours. I had to buy a slim socket and extension bar as the standard wheel br...

Re: 17" alloy wheel for spare

I would have thought a 15" wheel might be easier / cheaper to come by as long as it as has the same rolling circuference. Sorry Simon, are your talking about a 15" alloy? with a 70 profile tyre, trouble is with alloys the rim width can be wider that the standard 15" steel wheel which...

17" alloy wheel for spare

I've got the rare american style 17" flat faced alloys, although they look great their not readily available, I would like to ditch the standard spare steel wheel 15" (tyre side wall badly cracked) and get a cheap alloy 17" wheel to replace it, anyone had this experience?

Re: Driving in France - Definitive List of Requirements

Speed-trap radar detectors are illegal in France, even if turned off, and you can get a heavy on-the-spot fine if caught (up to 1500 Euros and the vehicle and/or device may be confiscated). SatNav POIs, however, are legal.[/quote] .............you've forgotten the new requirement (July) to have disp...
