Re: Modifying the temperature gauge compatible with the 2.0L
I hope this makes sense.... Mark[/quote] Ok I see your concern, even though the 2.0Ltr engine lacks pulling power, it is by far the most reliable engine in the Bongo range it certainly has not got the pulling power of the diesel nor the straight line speed of the V6 but lets face it, if the diesel w...

Re: Modifying the temperature gauge compatible with the 2.0L
can I ask why do you want to modify the Temp Gauge on a 2.0 Ltr ?Kernongo wrote:Hi, does anybody know if the mod to the temperature gauge given in the fact sheets is compatible with the 2001 2.0l petrol models.
The text in the fact sheet mentions compatibility to the older 2.5L diesel model.

Re: Replacing awning with a Gazebo
Being of advanced years I do not enjoy doing battle with an awning. I am considering using a 'pop up' gazebo instead. Similar to this waterproof one from Argos http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6510037/Trail/searchtext%3EGAZEBO.htm#pdpFullProductInformation I appreciate that it will ...

Re: Breathalyser now required in France?
I have just heard from a friend that this year it will be a requirement to have a breath testing kit in any vehicle driven in France. Does anybody know if it is true? it sounds ridiculous but knowing how good the French are at finding new ways to fine people (especially the English) it is p...

Re: RAC European break down cover
RAC policy details look pretty straightforward. It mentions vehicles should not be over 6 years old at start of journey, but older vehicles will be covered for an additional cost. Couldnt see anything about the common 15 year restriction which can be an issue for the older Bongos. http://media.rac....

Re: RAC European break down cover
Is that £165 for a year or single trip? I seem to recalling spending about £70 with Europ Assist but that was for a single excursion. If I was planning on going more often I would consider an annual policy. I've only had to call on their services once and I can't fault they way they handled everyth...

Re: LPG conversion !
I guess that for that price you have the 2 litre engine? The V6 conversion is usually a bit more than that. What make system did you go for? Where did they put the filler cap. Have you got any photos? I'm just looking round for quotes to get mine done. Hi simon I'm looking too : AJC Classics Ltd ( ...
