Re: low coolant
Hi, are you sure it’s a Haydn alarm ? Assuming it is and the bit you pulled away is a small black cylinder about 1 inch diameter and 1.5 inch long then it is a very old one...all I can suggest is you strip the alarm out and send it to us for repair FOC....if it’s irreparable we can do a deal on a ne...

Re: Engine block heater
I think the clue was in the title ! I think the poster is looking for a way to warm his ‘engine’ up prior to a cold frosty start. You could always put a greenhouse heater under the engine. That would keep the block temp above zero

The alarm should not have a 4sec test beep, check the strength of your coolant.......also how long is the test beep when engine hot ?

Re: self bleed kits?
Nobody has ever explained how the system causes the air in the engine to come out .... Once it reaches the the three way splitter then an open bleed pipe lets the air out, which is the same place his system feeds the air back to the de-gassing tank. With the various bleeding process's described on ...

Re: seemingly over heating bongo but COLD engine coolant. advice and help please!
Where the Bongo cooling system is concerned I would recommend using a garage familiar with the beast. I've heard far too many stories of damaged heads where advice has been offered and the reply has been, "Yeah, yeah, I've been a mechanic for decades, seen it all, no need to tell me my ...

Re: Coolant Alarm going off!!
Most peeps think of coolant being antifreeze/ water mixed in the correct ratio , about 30% antifreeze...that is a good conductor, plain water isn’t and the mix would have to be very low for the alarm to sound , less than 10%,

Re: Coolant Alarm going off!!
If you have a push button to test the alarm it’s not one of ours. The correct mix of coolant is a good conductor.
Very diluted coolant is a poor conductor.

Re: Replace 2.5 head cylinders in 3 years & a paint job (Long post)
Have you fitted a decent temp gauge and a low coolant alarm.....when the standard gauge moves past 11 o’clock you are already over 110c and only have seconds to react. Probably another goosed head.
