Re: AFT Roof bolts gone - Help!

Do you mean these things.... http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc205/loweskid/Bongofury/Dsc_0069a.jpg Is so, yes, they are for the roof rack or bars and nothing structural so no need to fear your roof flying off. I found two of mine loose when I got back from a trip to Ireland last year with roof b...

Re: Anyone recommend a Northwest Bongo dealer?

Just hunting around to see what is about. I can;t bring myself to go back as far as an N plate for 10k Depends what sort of conversion it's got I expect. Mine's N reg and cost £9000 with the Manchester Campers 'middle' conversion, new tyres, full service, warranty etc. etc. Only had 33K (Km) on the...

Re: Anyone recommend a Northwest Bongo dealer?

I got mine from Manchester Campers, based in Denton. Can't fault it - had it about 18 months now with no problems at all.

Thanks for reminding me about this thread. I did the EGR mod last October and was going to post some MPG results. I have it all on a spreadsheet and I'll post the full figures eventually but I'm off to New Zealand tomorrow so I haven't the time at the moment. A quick summary though... I bought the B...

FWIW - my Bongo was bought from Manchester Campers and serviced by Adrian in Bury. It came with brand new tyres fitted and these are 215/65 R15 all round. I've had no problems at all and they've still got loads of tread on them after 18 months or so. I hope you get it sorted - good luck! Edit - mine...

I wonder if it's possible to play a tune
A chap by the name of Victor Davies once wrote a piece called 'Concerto for Car Horns and Orchestra'. Perhaps we could commission something.....

I'll be in NZ for the whole of Feb and March... :D :D We've already got a hire car organised though. We'll be hiking the trails for a lot of the time so the car will be parked at the trail heads for several days at a time. I'm not bothered if the hire car gets broken into but I wouldn't want to be r...

I had mine done about a month ago. I've been logging the mpg on a spreadsheet since I got the Bongo about a year ago so I'll let you know in a month or so what difference it's made. I haven't done all that many miles since I fitted it but I'll be having a long trip to Caithness over Christmas. I can...

I'd be interested too and I like the idea of a different colour to indicate the ones that have been changed. Any colour will do for me - I'll go along with the majority.

Mango Bongo goes to Adrian in Bury for pre MOT check and MOT this Saturday. Wish her luck y'all - my hands are going clammy as I type I think she's in capable hands there - I don't think Adrian will take it to the tester unless he's sure it's going to pass. I took mine for a service and MOT in Sept...

And not just cold temperatures - my mate left his car parked up for two weeks at the airport while he was on holiday and the brakes rusted on!

Yes, you are correct, but it won't stop the wheels sliding in icy conditions - it gets very cold in Bulgaria.
Well, I have no plans to go to Bulgaria (yet) - but I'll be in Caithness over Christmas and it can get fairly chilly up there.... :D :D

i think for the sake of a bit of metal i`d rather have the chocks there than a whole lot of bongo drop down on me head....plus the front wheels are still freewheeling if you are changing the rear wheels Yes I understand the point when changing a wheel and I would certainly use them in that situatio...
