Re: Any campsite recommendations for West Coast Scotland?

Another vote for Applecross.

Stunning views, free camping on the beach, tap provided and fires allowed.

Loos and decent pub in village ten mis walk.

We loved it.

Re: Occasional bleep from low coolant warning indicator?

Worth taking the screws out and cleaning with a wire brush, the corrosion inhibitor can coat them.

Re: Knit & Natter/Stitch & Bitch

We will bring along some 'Crowd Clickers'. These make excellent row counters. You can, of course, just buy them of Amazon, but all we ask is a donation to the Julian Trust Night Shelter. All money in the tin will go to them, ie no deduction for the cost of the counters. http://juliantrust.org.uk/abo...

Re: Anyone in Fife or Edinburgh willing to hire/lend a pela

The three rads are normal engine cooling, condenser for aircon and the low down scoop is for the intercooler.

Bongy has some cooling for the auto box oil but only in the bottom of the main rad.

As suggested I would (have) fitted an extra oil cooler, Alacrity is your man or google Kenlowe.

Re: Cfor

Oh Jilly.

Thanks so much for having the strength to do the best for Cfor, and having the strength to tell us.

So many of us regarded her as part of Bongoing, and the next trip will be very difficult for you.

RIP Sweetheart, and thankyou again, Jilly.

Sadly the TPS doesn't seem to work as well as it should. :(

Good idea though, Simon. =D>

That's pretty much the system my pal has on his narrow boat.

Works really well. 8)

Re: Greenhouse heater tubes - viable heater?

As these are pretty cheap its well worth a try.

As the AFT is fairly thin I doubt upstairs will be hot, but should keep the worst of the chill off.
