Re: Uh-oh

It's a little disappointing but it's not the whole of Scotland just a particular area. just keep heading north and there's plenty of places you can stop.

Re: 12v car cigar accessory query

The cable going to the rear socket is barely adequate anyway, if you plan to use it for anything other than light loads I'd suggest either a separate socket with decent cable or running a better cable to the existing socket.

Re: Roller Blinds

It's a very good point Geoff, I've kept notes in a little notebook of the many electrical changes I've made, both as a memory aid for me later and also potentially as an "owners manual amendment" for the next owner.
Luckily mine was pretty unmessed with before I got my hands on it.

Re: Newbie - so many questions

I'll be honest I wouldn't be surprised if LPG makes a mini comeback, if, as seems to be the way, more and more penalties are placed on diesel vehicles, especially the schemes coming in in cities then I can imagine mini cab drivers switching and creating more demand.

I could be wrong of course.

Re: Double Din Sat Nav, DVD and stereo

I have my stereo switchable between the ignition switched feed and the permanent LB feed. I have a swap loom that plugs into the bottom of the fuse holder for the stereo. I used the same sort of pin to take the switched supply from the top terminal of the holder, directly to an inline fuse holder, t...

Re: Facebook

I think I've said it before but my first point if call is a Google search, the top results invariably contain multiple forum links to another Bongo Forum but never forum posts on here.

These aren't my photos but should give you an idea, I could post the link to the original post if you're already a member of the Facebook group. http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae284/jimbobvfr400/f827c378-9d6b-4453-b1c9-c19873fc8682.png http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae284/jimbobvfr400/46f5f5...

Re: stripping down a rear seat

There's somebody on one of the Facebook groups who has done exactly that. I'll see if i can remember who it was and find the post. Technically speaking mine has also been done when it was converted by Northstar, the difference is mine was done by altering the original upholstery so they still look l...

Pfft, amateurs, I've only got 14 USB Sockets in my van, with at least 2 more to be added in the AFT when I get round to it.

Re: Cigarette Lighter Replacement

It wasn't entirely my idea but they are a pretty neat solution.

Mine had a blue LED next to both ports which was a bit bright and unnecessary, the casing pried apart quite easily and I just snipped the LEDs off.

Re: Rear vs side conversion -storage space?

I've seen a few rear conversions that have either shaped benches or shorter ones with on overhanging seat, presumably designed to clear the swivel seat when swivelling. It is possible, I'd imagine if you slide as you swivel you could maximise the length of bench you have. You'd only need to chop the...

If you have a spare switch blank free then these fit with a tiny little bit of filing. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-24V-Dual-USB-Charger-Audio-Port-Interface-for-Toyota-Cars-Blank-Switch-Hole-/182243366822?hash=item2a6e8d17a6:g:O14AAOSwnHZYfyRN http://i980.photobucket.com/albums/ae284/jimbobvfr400/...
