Mystery fuses... what are they for?
While poking about under the dash (I was fitting a parking sensor) I found a couple of fuses in a block, tucked up behind the the panel just to the left of the steering column. The wires go into the Bongo loom and is well wrapped with insulating tape. I haven't a clue what they are for - anyone know...

Re: Central locking oddity
A lot of the meters require you to plug the +ve lead into a separate socket(s) for measuring current as well as turning the switch, if you have left it in the usual V/Ω/low current then you will get odd readings. If you really are only drawing 0.21 Amps I wouldn't get worried at all, that's typical...

Re: Central locking oddity
I've been having similar problems and my central locking behaves the same as yours when the LB is flat (that is, it doesn't work, and I've not had the 'worked a couple of times' phenomenon). There's a drain of 210mA* on mine but I've not had a chance to investigate further yet (I don't have a clock)...

Re: Removal Of Inner Roof
I wouldn't do without mine - a lot warmer in winter with it down and a lot quieter at any time of the year. I never heard the brain-dead prat who was, as my mate told me the following morning (he was kipping in a tent), wandering around the camp site at nearly midnight broadcasting at full volume in...

Edit - on reflection I've removed my comment as I wasn't there and it's not really any of my business.

Re: Leisure batteries lasting 4-5 days?
Very true - Wellhouse do have a very good reputation (and mine wasn't done by them).I would be amazed if any of these things were wrong with a Wellhouse conversion. In fact I would be more than amazed

Re: Leisure batteries lasting 4-5 days?
I found when my leisure battery gets too flat the fuse blows on the relay And make sure the relay is rated higher than the fuse. Mine had a 35 amp fuse but the relay was rated at 15 amp - guess which blew first... Also - before you use them, check the polarity of any sockets fitted. One of ...

Re: Leisure batteries lasting 4-5 days?
Also, not sure which is the best way to charge mobile phones (plus eventually a laptop) out of the 12v power point while on leisure battery - is an inverter the best bet, or some other thing if inverters pull too much power? Or can I really not expect to be able to run a laptop for any time off the...

Re: Roof Bar Fixings
I'm just dubious how secure the mounting points on the AFT actually are? At least one of mine seem to be a bit loose - does anyone know if they are actually stepped into the roof so they can't pull out? Judging by mine, I would not be happy attaching much to them, or am I worrying unduly? Mike They...

Re: Help please for Bongo Fury mate in Birmingham (Dudley)
The resistor may just need re-soldering - when the motor seizes up the resistor overheats and some solder connections melt inside. It's a very easy repair if you are handy with a soldering iron - there's a fact sheet on it in the member's section.

Re: Daft Daffy Bash, 13th to 15th March.
Hi all, Bongolow reporting in. Thanks to all for a great weekend, especially to Mr M and Harry for all their hard work. A mate of mine had booked a cottage just south of Beddgelert so I joined him for the week - and what a week! After Saturday, unbroken sunshine for the whole time - first time I can...

Re: Daft Daffy Bash, 13th to 15th March.
Ill be bringing a spicy chicken casserole type thingy. Forecast from the Met Office for Saturday is 'bright with isolated showers' but with 'Severe westerly gales'. http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/loutdoor/mountainsafety/snowdonia.html The Crib Goch route up Snowdon might not be such a good idea then......

Thanks for that walk-through, just what I need. I didn't get around to doing today - other stuff intervened - and I probably won't get a chance tomorrow either.
