Re: Droning noise

Thanks for the suggestions - I'll check them out then if I don't find anything obvious I'll give Adrian a ring for advice.

Happy New Year to all..!

Droning noise

Hi all I've developed a droning noise from the front offside (I think). It increases in volume around 35 mph, then decreases when I speed up but increases again around 55-60. Also noticeably louder when going round a left-hand bend. I suspect a wheel bearing but I've been told it could be a CV joint...

Re: Newcastle - Bergen, possible new ferry in 2016 (was 2013

Another year gone by and still no ferry - however, there is now a strong possibility that it might be happening next year, albeit from Harwich. See here... http://driveeuropenews.com/2015/01/21/sweden-21/ and on facebook... https://www.facebook.com/groups/707889582628047/ Ferry to Norway Campaign......

Re: Bongo adventure

I spent a month touring the Western Isles in June to early July last year. Only three days when the weather kept me in the Bongo (I was glad of the rest.. :) ) and only one evening when there were any midges about - and they were wimps compared to their sisters on the mainland. Loads of photos on my...

Re: Newcastle - Bergen, possible new ferry in 2013

There's been some developments in the North Sea so I'd thought I'd resurrect this thread - DFDS are axing the Harwich - Esbjerg ferry on the 29th Sept., so there will be no direct ferries at all to Scandinavia from the UK. We will have to go via the channel and drive all the way up through Germany, ...

Re: So, where are you off to this year?

Another possible option for Norway is the DFDS Freight service, a direct crossing from Immingham to Brevik, just west of Oslo. Up to a couple of years ago, when I enquired, they would take cars and passengers if there was room (freight gets priority, of course). You cannot book until two or three we...

Re: Front fog lamps - where is the relay..?

Usually more relays there than that :? - http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=43323&p=520072&hilit=fog+relay#p520072 Been like that since I bought it from Manchester Campers. There is a relay in a similar place but on the offside which doesn't look original so mayb...

Re: Front fog lamps - where is the relay..?

When I connected the 12v it activated momentarily then released itself, which seems odd,
Ignore this bit - I've just discovered my bench supply unit is faulty. Measures 12v off-load but drops to about a volt when something is connected.

Great, that's all I need.... :x

Re: AFT roof struggling to open fully

Probably wants greasing in the runners - up inside the roof. Maybe you could spray them, but I got my hand up and spread dollops of grease along the runners. Awkward and messy but it did the trick - my roof lifted a lot smoother after that.

Re: Front fog lamps - where is the relay..?

Do you mean this..... http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/cc205/loweskid/Bongofury/relay-1.jpg I thought it was that one so I took it off and checked it with my bench power supply. When I connected the 12v it activated momentarily then released itself, which seems odd, so I wondered if I had the corr...

Front fog lamps - where is the relay..?

Can anyone tell me where the relay is mounted for the front fog lamps? Fog lamps aren't working - I've checked the fuses, switch and bulbs (all okay and power to switch) but I can't hear any relay clicking when I press the switch.
