Re: Bongo in London?

Depending on where you are going to live in 'London' will determine whether your Bongo will be allowed to be driven without paying £12.50 for the privilege due to emission laws and the Bongo's possible non compliance with some of them. There is info on this site.

Re: Overheat query

spin the roulette wheel, you may be lucky if it's the 'first overheat'. Have a read of some previous posts on here the consensus seems to be that if the temp gauge has informed you of overheat and you have had a boil over the damage is done. You could get a combustion leak test to help with diagnosi...

Re: Overheat query

Take it this is a diesel...given what you have described rapid warm up, the overheat/boil over and the colour of the coolant (coolant mixing with oil or exhaust gases), I would be considering cracked/HGF. What's the coolant smell and feel like?

As shame to scrap/let it go, especially for a 'newer' one. Have you sought a few quotes for the work needed to pass the MoT?

Re: Blinds: internal or external? Or maybe even curtains?

My reflective black out blinds have been brilliant, I have an exterior front windscreen and side window cover too but don't use it as it gets 'wet' in the rain and dew so becomes annoying hence why I have only ever used my awning once or twice as it's inconvenient to air afterwards. Will always get ...

Re: Stop table sliding along rail

If I am reading your post correctly, there is actually a plastic adapter that colour matches the other fittings (grey in my case) that is screwed in at the position of your choosing along the rail to keep the table in the given position or not beyond that; have one on mine to ensure the table stays ...

Re: Joining the Bongo family

Given what I have just read through having typed Bristol Bob into the search I would not personally be purchasing anything for the Bongo until I had driven it round for a few weeks. Good luck.

Re: Fitting back swivel seat

The swivel seat has locking bolts to aid security. I have mine facing to the rear mostly and it is basically locked against the front seats so cannot move and is secured on the runners. I have every faith in it more so than R&R beds etc. Not sure why you are worried or what your worry is?

Re: Bongo Breakdown (Paris)

If it was me and I hoped to repair it without possibly causing more damage/terminal failure and even more ££££s; I would bite the bullet and get a full lift/recovery back to the Port, especially if you have no real idea of the temperature the engine is operating at. Have you had a play around with t...
