Hi terrier,
I replaced mine a little while ago. Got the cap from the Fury shop but I don't think I got a new O ring - I'd ask Ian when you phone.
Easy to fit.
regards Grahame

Re: coolant flow - (follow up to cooling diagram)
that's great.
but just to be VERY picky - how about putting the flow line from radiator to header entering the header below the water level. sorry if i'm being too pernickety

Re: coolant flow - (follow up to cooling diagram)
Hi Steve, Thanks for sending the drawing. As a schematic it is very good but I agree with Dandy regards the out flow from the head to the radiator. So your modified drawing earlier in this thread is right but needs to link directly to split in flow in the cylinder head - i.e instead of the inside th...

No chance of anyone else from the family doing it mind - so I'd be looking for support and encouragement from you lot

Re: Auto folding mirrors on alarm/locking need a bit of help!!
Hi Jaylee, I absolutely agree with g8dhe - you have something not quite right with the wiring of the various bits & bobs To add a 'FIX' / 'work-around' to over come the problem is asking for big trouble DON'T DO IT [-X [-X You need to go over the connections / links for the additions you have pu...

Re: v6 cambelt change
Thanks for the suggestions Although we would like to do Cornwall it is not on our plans for next year. However, we go to Shrewsbury several times a year and I know Ian Taylor as we got our first Bongo from him - and yes I trust him. So it looks as though I may arrange something with him for early ne...

Re: Cooling system diagram
Hi all, I disagree with the last few comments. The coolant flow is OUT of the head and down the by-pass to the stat housing so the turbo flow can only go down (in the diagram) to the T in the heater flow. Unless :-k :-k - the flow down the by-pass 'sucks' coolant through the small bore turbo pipe wo...

Re: v6 cambelt change
So as I was planning on getting mine done in the spring - does anyone know of a garage that HAS done a V6 cam belt change? successfully :? Following on from the recent postings in this thread - I'd probably be prepared to travel a LOOONNNNNNGGGGG way to a garage that I felt OK with. Regards Grahame

MondoBongo,
If you have a break in the wiring it will certainly set your fans on all the time.

Re: Cooling system diagram
The radiator fans are an integral part of the control of the cooling system and can not be left out. I haven’t checked but Aethelric had to change his fan and indeed confirmed at the time that the two are different, one has more blades – I don’t know why. Both fans are run together fed from the same...

Re: Cooling system diagram
Sorry Dandy if I thought we were out of step - I see it as a dynamic control system and I think its just my terminology that's different Anyway I have gone over my old posts and off line discussions with Aetherlic and have gathered some of my ramblings on the subject. Also sketched up a thermal / fl...

Re: Cooling system diagram
Excellent debate Dandy’s text is good (as his input usually is) but my view differs slightly. In my experiments in my last Bongo I concluded that the system works in a ‘balanced’ condition. That is it is a classic control system and operates at a predetermined nominal condition. This is with the sta...

Re: Split Charger
I recently fitted one of his kits to my V6. Every thing was very professional - in the instructions and build of the components. The only trouble I had was the leisure battery I already had 'reversed' terminals so with the cables in the kit I had to install the battery facing backwards - no real iss...
