Re: Replacing Bongo roof struts - How to - DO NOT DELETE
So glad this thread is here, Used the ratchet method, sounds daunting but isn't really. The only problem i had was finding the right tool for the job (top fitting). I couldn't find a ratchet /socket thin enough to fit, in the end I used a deep cranked ring spanner. The nut and old fittings were 12mm...

Re: Fuel Pump? Fuel Filter? Battery???
The age of the vehicle isn't really relevant, it's the length of time the fuel is storred in the tank that counts: http://www.bp.com/content/dam/bp-country/en_au/products-services/fuels/opal-fuel/Opal-factsheet-storagehandling.pdf yes bob totally agree thats why original comment was related to mode...

Re: Fuel Pump? Fuel Filter? Battery???
Yes the bong oh is a modern vehicle in comparison to my petrol vehicles
my latest is a 87 750 gsx that does not like to be stood..
My lawnmower (B and S) also complains, but was designed in the roman era.
just realised my experience is with carbaretors
" what are they"?

Re: Fuel Pump? Fuel Filter? Battery???
leaving the electrical issues battery/ignition, you run mostly on LPG.
How old is the petrol/ how much in tank?
modern petrols do not like hanging around unused and may be difficult to start.
probably just another question and not part of this solution
